Saturday was epic, to say the least. I wish I could have chilled afterwards though, instead of having to wait an hour for the bus, then walking home from the park and ride. HAH!
The back of my left leg hurts. Right behind the knee. I think its from all the kicking I have done so far. Yesterday and today have been stretching days and such, then Tuesday til Thursday i'm gonna work BOP and all that. Thursday night I get to see X-Men3, then I wake up and go to FOLKLIFE!
Hell Yis.

Argh.
Just had the coolest and lamest session of my life.
Basically started with some BOP. It was on. Heck Yes. Everything was pretty solid. So I was like.... Hmm. Maybe with all of this good luck, my flip pixies will work with me.
nope.
Seriously aggrivates me how bad my flip pixie is. Especially after all the work I put into it. It'll just be good at first, then blow ass. ARGH!
Everything else was pretty much on. BOP, Tiltless, and most of my stepping. It took me so long just to hit sidewalk on my right clipper side. I always went to stepping same clipper. FUCK!
I hit it after awhile though. That made me smile. Then I tried flip whirl, and hit it 2 times out of 10. damn.
None the less though. Frick. Tomorrow, right off the bat when i put my shoes on, just gonna drill flip clippers. then hit flip whirl b2b. Then i'll be happy. THEN drill BOP.
Just a bunch of aggrivation towards footbag right there.

A little misplaced if you ask me??
If your BOP was shining, then take that as progress. Other things may lack behind, but that's bound to happen. Get your BOP down pat and THEN worry about flip pixie.
Or if you're impatient, while your school your BOP start every BOP run off with a dimwalk or parkwalk or something on your flipside. Or, even more useful, pdx mirage>dim or park. Just a thought.
FOLKLIFE... SOON... ME GETTING SHREDDED BY NICK... SOON...

I did take the BOP as progress, since i said it was the COOLEST and lamest session of my life.
Yeah. I'm just gonna really worry about BOP. I came to that conclusion last night when I was eating a Klondike bar, after the whole post. Klondike bars rock!
Damnit. I was gonna go job hunting and such in nice clothes, but its raining! What the heck! I don't wanna wait for buses and get soaked and look like a drenched rat! Damnit!
I'll go shred though.

Yeah... I wasn't able to go out yesterday. I had to clean up my house and such. All day. Pretty lame, really. Then today I kicked a bit. Just worked on some funky links.
Buttefly>pdx illusion>symposium mirage>rpt

A little late but I footed legbeater BSOS thursday before the movie.
Folklife was cool. It was fun to see everybody again, and to meet some new peoples.
I really didn't play as well as I thought I would. Maybe it is because my bag was being used by other people, and i'm so used to it. Or the fact that the weather blew ass. Probably because I have been playing very lazily and such. Or that I was tired as fuck.
I wanted to go today. Just couldn't make it though. Damn..
I just got back from playing. Had one more session with Frankenstein before letting him go for good. Halfway through I played with a sandman though, since Franky was done for. I looked at my game, and am now taking a way way more serious turn towards it. No more bullshit. Straight up training. Its what I want to do.
I really want to rant about a bunch of stuff, mainly about the whole kid jumping on my foot, but I don't know how to word it.

Folklife was the shit. It was a blast hanging out with everyone. Meeting Dylan after idolizing his game for most of my career was monumental for me. Kicking it with Kevin and getting to know him a bit better was cool.
Some things will remain unsaid... Super fun to shred with my MAIN MAN NIIICK!!! Yeah!! The dude is crazy off the hook! Torque>GDLO bsos? bd>bw>rpt?? 4-5 fearless without a problem...
As for me, I'll try and drudge up some personal highlights, but it will be a hell of a challenge, as usual.
-spinning ducking paradox mirage>phoenix>blurry whirl>spinning whirl
-had a lot of fun throwing stuff like 3x pdx drifter bsos in the middle of long drifter combos
-really just a lot of very long runs, my consistency was as on as usual today except I went harder than normal... very genuine busts, lots of average length tripless combos midrun or not (8-12ish? shrug... I think may have hit close to 15 at some point during the weekend)
-had fun and played all three days and kept it up pretty well
Most impressive player there was definitely Dylan, though... The video he posted is fairly representative of his game. Practically every other run he hit on Saturday was on par with the ones in that video! I'll try not to talk other people's games too much, but damn!!

Bottom Braces today. Ouchies.
Training every night for an hour is working out well. Oh so well. I pace myself so my shins don't hurt after 15 minutes. w00t.
I haven't hit to much cool stuff to highlight on. Just tiltless and BOP.
Sam, don't take what I said personally during Folklife... lol. I was just grumpy.

Uhhh... What?? You were in a bad mood? You just seemed like you were being a wallflower. It's all good, at any rate. Your bad mood isn't going to hamper me having a crazy good time. Hopefully next tourney you'll enjoy yourself more. Are you coming down to Seattle this weekend or is that not about to happen? Also, it's great to hear you're starting to school regularly while minding your health. Stay on your toes.
I need to get back to Lavers, I think. Not sure, though. Ah, the shoe indecisiveness continues. I don't think I've ever played in one type of shoe consistently for a year. Maybe I'll just stick to the g-units and try and power through and learn good form on a couple things that have been irritating me, despite their cheaterness. I hope I can still shred when I inevitably need to change to a different shoe.
Also, don't you hate it when you're trying to get some action with no success for a while and then all of a sudden someone is super into you and you aren't feeling it? Gotta love it.
Another random thought, after this weekend I feel very content with my game. I really feel like I've made a lot of progress after 2 1/2 years of shred. Maybe not as much as some people, but I've got a good style, I'm very consistent, I can bust long runs when I want to, and I'm able to go hard if I need to (although that is definitely my lacking point). I feel like this weekend really demonstrated at least in MY eyes that I'm a strong player in those regards, even if I didn't make a huge splash.
Peace blog,

Footbag is interesting. This summer I hope to have a lot of revealing personal sessions to start expanding my game again. I haven't added new components to my game solidly in such a long time. I really would love to add blenders and eggbeaters and complex crossbody moves. I need to hurry up and order my shred mats so I can start laying down ill sessions in the wee hours of the night. The summer approaches... I'm going to have a lot of time to fill. I wish I could understand why Danny is so shy about playing hard at tournaments... Do I inhibit your game? You need to be more vocal. You're basically my favorite person to shred with, but I never get the chance because you're too busy being a wallflower.
Hopefully you can get a job soon so you can come down and hang out with me all the time so that we can expand our games and our minds.
This was not a paragraph, but a ramble jumble of thoughts.
Much love,
Much love,
