Man thats so awesome. Footbag is the best sport ever. Most professional sports just get lame with million dollar contracts and political bs. Footbag isn't about the money but the love of the game. And the stuff he said about the footbag comunity being like one big family is exactly why i hope to stick with this for as long as my body can take it. Totally inspirational.

that's sick.Even if i wanted to i wouldnt last for 8 hours.But stamina grows with time right?

off-topic: i think it is important that once in a while there are public ranting posts like the one by nur, which i found totally reasonable! there are soooo many people on modified who don't know shit but talk the whole time about stuff they have no idea about... i would appreciate if there were only a quarter amount of posts a day, but a higher quality. all this community bs. this is for exchange of information. just because you have a trillion posts doesn't mean your opinions are sophisticated. if you don't have anything to say shut the fuck up. get a life. if you're bored go into footbag chat, but don't clog the board.(this is not aimed at you matt, i don't even know any of your other posts. i am just annoyed with the general posting attitude on here).

PS: i liked his style best in 2004... and yeah i don't think he is improving at the same rate anymore at all, though he still is by far the best player out there, in nearly every aspect of the game.

He said to get to the top you have to play 8 hours a day and get to a good level, that is what he did (though I heard it was closer to 6 hours on average) and that is why he was several years of skill ahead of everybody else for the last few years, he got sooo good so fast by practicing atleast twice as much as anyone else when he begun.

I don't know how reliable this is, but a close friend of Vasek has told me he only plays about twice a week, 2 hours each session these days. Perhaps that is why he is worried about getting his 5th title?

But yeah he is still going to win this year I think, he's still far enough ahead.

The routine was obviously from Todexon7, which was no doubt populated mainly by footbag players, so the fact that everyone aplauded when he did the elbow stall is probably not because the crowd was impressed with such an easy move.

vasek is turely amazing, not like everyone dosent already know this. i really liked this he seems like a normal kid id love to make it to world an have the chance to play in a circle with him. dreams.

an about the whole fighting BS i think modified has turned in to a soapopera in the time since i left an now came back. when i read all these little 'pick on each other' argument bull shit its sad. we should all be here for the same reason, to share an enjoy the great sport footbag an to help each other out an to infleuance new comers to get involved with this once friendly community. its like are teachers an parents have always told us, if you dont have anything nice to say, dont say anything at all. maybe more people should start playing the sport an less time thinking of ways to bring fellow shreders down. sorry guys but some of this stuff is just redicules. grow up.

this gose for the whole fourm not just this topic, it seems every thread has some kinda argument on it. this is a footbag fourm not a war zone.

8 hours of shred per day + school?? 'specially in Europe where school is way longer then it is here in Canada... That would mean prolly no stops for eating and a max of six hours per night of sleep. If you squished some meals into that schedule before bed and when you get up, you wouldn't starve; but your game would not get better. Maybe the first week or two (if you were a F****** trooper) you might learn quickly and advance. After that your body would deteriorate and you fall apart. This would more liekly kill you then make you the best in the world.

If he dropped out of school to play, no wonder he's the best in the world. Playing that much everyday (WITH SUFFICIENT REST) would be so amazing... that would take alot of dedication though! Wow... Vasek is the man

Well.. let's see if this year he win worlds... I think he will, and I belive we will see him once again in the top of the podium.

i dont remember where
but i read that:
a.) vasek got to school really early to play
b.) run to the next class really quick to play some before the class
c.) played after school til it got dark

so not 8 hours non-stop .. it was just spread out through the whole day
still insane, his drive to become good was incredible

Yeh i would agree with Max that his style was the smoothest and most efficient and best form in 2004. If you watch the Europe on fire video or footage from Montreal worlds. or stuff from the Vasek Raw or whatever, everything looked sooo good and sooo easy.

Although i love watching 2002 Vasek aswell, i liked the way he just busted onto the NA scene and destroyed everyone even at such a young age, and the way his runs still seemed humanly possible hehehe

I would believe that when he played that 8 hours a day it was when he was starting (I guess, I couldn't watch the interview yet). So you have to note that he wasn't probably busting fearless right from the start, but kicks and other basic stuff which don't take that much energy.

Anyways, 8 hours a day is a lot of training and worth respect.
