Cosmic staller, any good?

Post by smokefree »

Hey, i was wondering about how good this bag is, i usually prefer sandmasters over all bags, even mr sandbag, but how would you rate the cosmic staller?
http://worldfootbag.com/catalog2/show/734 and also how good is the 32 panel dirtbag.

yeah i like the sandmaster, ive had a 32 dirtbag, it really sucked lol, 32s and sand dont really mix, so stick with what you like, the sandmaster, a bit big and floppy but still good
happy shredding! :)

Sure, but to be sure that you can transition well with 32s, work on Mr. Sandbags/Cuddlebaggies until you're definitely sure about your sets. Then buy a 32 paneled bag from modified. Don't worry yourself about other bags.

So when should i transfer? im working on 3 adds... having a hard time but perservering. sandbags break in a week for me even with royal treatment, whereas this sandmaster has lasted a month or a month and a half. Will buying a 32 throw off game or is it just not worth buying until you're good enough?

You're obviously being waaaay to hard on your bags. I've had sandbags I played with exclusively for over a month and they were ok.

Are you into freestyle?

Also, those bags are not good. At all. Please do not waste your $

i probably wouldnt buy a 32 until youve hit all the 2 adds.

i didnt even look at that bag, but i can tell you you'd be much happier with a mosh or peng or ff or.......any stitchers bag off modified...

Get a 32 from the stitchers on modified. Any one of them. And get a regular sized one.

Minis are for double dex beasts

Worry about getting a 32 when you get some lavers. It'd be pretty damned hard to play with a mosher bag if you're not using proper kicks. Instead of buying bags, buy the right shoes first.

Mosher and Peng arent the only stitchers in the world. From the bags i have played with from them, their bags arent that great. Mirkens, Chris Millers, even abshires are better than the ones i played with (NEW ONES!).

Sooo, yeah. Not trying to hurt your business tom and peng, but I would rather take $30-100 of business from you than take freestyle away from someone because they spent a shitload of money on a bag that wont perform for the price.

If you HAVE to get a 32 panel, get a mirken or Chris miller bag. (mirken is Senor Grommet and Chris is Shredzilla) Docbags are also good, and Johnny Sudermans bags are good.

Long story short: stick with sandmasters til you have lavers

Although I appreciate hearing an opinion it should still be taken with the understanding that a stitchers' style of bags will always progress and evolve. It is possible (likely is probably more accurate) that the bags you tried were of much older versions of our bags and they do not necessarily represent what we are making now.

It's not really fair to form such solid negative opinions based on one or two experiences that might not represent what we are making and selling on our site.

Woo.. your bags suck! jk. Anyway, i want a mosher bag but mini's are only for double dexers i guess? Then why the hell are sandbags made that small?

Anthony, it's just size preference for people wanting to play with mini's or standards really. It's just a matter of impact, size, and stallability/set ratio. Mr. Sandbags perform well because for their size, they can stall like a dream. However, as you progress you'll find out that not everything requires stalling the bag, but how you set it. That's how 32s come in for a more comfortable gameplay.

For standard and mini 32s, I find that the minis are made for more on setting than stallability when used. Size helps for easier dexing, but usually both standars and minis range around the size of a golfball. Also, based on the size structure of standards to minis, there's more focused impact during play for minis because of the concentrated filler in a smaller closed space. However, with a standard floppy bag, you get a balance of stallability and setting that is really choice in most freestyler's opinions.

To tell you the truth, if I were in your shoes (when you get Lavers that is), I would invest your money on an abshire. You live in CA, right? Well, Richie lives in the same state that you're in, and if you make the trip to meet him in person, I'm sure he can make a deal with you on buying a bag off of him. See if he can stitch you up a bag and get some lessons in freestyle from him and his crew. It'll save up on shipping costs for buying a bag, and you'll get a few free lessons on freestyle.

thanks for the tips, you think it would be better to start with a large abshire?

any standard sized bag would do. at your stage however, the bigger the better, as stalling is probably your main concern

Man, a large abshire is an oxymoron

Abshires are smaller than Mr. Sandbags

A mini is even smaller!

Ah, yeah ill get the standard then, they looked huge from the pics. Anyway stalling isn't really my main concern, in fact its way easy.
