Colbert Roasts Bush -White House Correspondents Dinner

Post by Moxie »

I didn't know what I was going to watch, but it really is Colbert roasting President Bush at the 2006 White House Correspondents Dinner. Watch me. It's a little long, so I listened to it while doing other things. Good stuff.

Colbert really fucking annoy's me by the way. I tend to agree with a lot of stuff he says, but his stupid little gimmick just gets on my nerves. I don't blame Bush for when he stopped laughing at Colbert's jokes.

Jon Stewart kind of gets on my nerves as well.

Steven Colbert is cool because he makes references to "hackysack" all the time. He told someone in an interview once that he "can do a pretty mean rainbow" and pointed back and forth. In one episode they showed him going back to college and there is a scene where he is circle kicking with some other dudes. If footbag were political I bet we could get him to do a segment on it.

Was there already a thread on this? Because if so, I missed it. If not, don't be a jerk. :-)

No he means it happened two weeks ago, BUT IT WAS FUCKING FUNNY! And i think it was a great thing to do. The press wouldn't cover it though, of course they won't do their job against the president's will. A person calls Donald Rumsfield a liar, and the media calls him a heckler. Anyway, i thought it was funny, he ripped the shit out of fox news hahahaha.

Two weeks late? I remember seeing him do this around late April/early-mid May.

I know that. Don't worry - I understand your concern for the warped space-time continuum.

And yes, I inadvertedly typed "ago" instead of "late."

Early-mid May is suppose to be around the first few days, if not the first week of May. I should've clarified that.

i like how any post on modified these days starts beef with people.

"Hey man, nice string"

"oh yeah? wanna fight about it?"

back on topic...

yeah i find jon stewart much more tolerable than colbert. i can watch the daily show back to back, but after 1 episode of the report i have to give my self a week to find him funny again. i get tired of the gimick, but i think colbert pushes the enveloipe further so his good segments are way funnier, but i think jon stewart is more consistant.
