This tournament will be a chance for footbaggers from all over to kick together in the capitol city of Texas, Austin. We hope to get footbaggers from all over Texas and the southern united states, but of course footbaggers from all over the world are invited and encouraged to come! October in Texas is still warm, the summer's too hot, so we have our tournaments in the fall!

Possible Other fun stuff:
-Swimming @Barton Springs!
-Party at my apt Sat night. Email me for details.

Location:
It will be EASTWOOD PARK near the University of Texas Campus. 32nd and Harris Park

I will be there. I'll shred me some, and I'll tear up some net and golf if given the chance. I'm hoping to bring two or three others, but we'll have to see.

Let's pick up this southern scene!

Thanks for the interest guys! I've been a total slacker about planning this (I haven't done jack other than set a date), well I've still got 2 months. It may be more of a jam than a real tournament, no one here's really ever competed in anything. Who would judge?

Oh also, this will be the weekend that the Rolling Stones are playing Austin. So come for the shred, stay for the Stones!

i have come to believe that sadly im the only san antonio shredder :(

im more than down to take any prizes from whomever i can :)

hehehe

but really- this would kick ass. i vote for austin as the location, because otherwise i dont think ill make it due to school/work. ill donate a bag for a prize and im gonna go out on a limb to say i might request richard a. to maybe donate one as well... and definately my buddy ben who knows he might make like 10 for us cause hes crazy like that and generous enough to feed the world if he could.

but i dont know about all that no matter what count me in!

Ben- I've competed plenty. I'll judge intermediate, cuz I'm gonna be competing in the open division..
And you need to make a footbag.org event listing asap. That should be the first place you put updates and stuff. Just tryin to help.

A couple of us from Denver are trying to make plans to come to this tournament, don't know if we're actually going to be able to make though.

Hope the tournament/jam goes well.

Hey so as far as shirts, I am considering putting the slogan "Where's the money at??? Where are all the chicks???" on them. What do you think?

Any other ideas? Everybody still planning to come?

Well guys, I am admittedly very unprepared for this event. I had a dream last night that 700 people showed up and I shat my pants.

I've got a few calls/email from some more peeps who are planning on attending. Last minute charlies, come on down!

Thanks to all those who are stitching bags! :D

Fun times for sure, son.

First off thanks to everyone who made it out:
Rob Creel, New Orleans, LA (Mathochist)
Mike Stokely, Houston, TX (Stoke)
Curtis Taylor, Houston, TX (PIMP C)
Cody Rushing, Austin, TX (morsecode)
Ben Rinowski, Tulsa, OK (blurryben)
Louis Rinowski, Tulsa, OK (gangsta)
John Fanuzzi, Austin, TX (DaGoodSmoke)
James Geraci, Austin, TX
Dustin Patterson, Lubbock, TX
Grant Weldon, Lubbock, TX
Wes ?, Lubbock, TX
Plus a whole bunch of net players including Tina Lewis, James Harley, JR Roberts, CL and others.

Second off, thanks to the stitchers who made bags for the event
Zeb Jackson, Boise, ID (Zeb Jackson)
Travis Iden, Dallas, TX (vettehunter123)
Andrew Banewicz, Hagaman, NY (jrstubs)
Cody Rushing, Austin, TX (morsecode)

The Rinowski brothers pretty much swept the competition with Louis winning both Novice events and Ben winning 2 of 3 Open events. "Big Trick Mastablasta" Curtis Taylor took 1st in Sick 1 with Janiwalker.

A bunch of people hit new tricks during the event:
Rob: Spinning Osis
Me: Spinning butter
John: toe DLO
Cody: Surge
Ben R: Bedwetter

Probably more I'm sure, but I can't remember.

Well it was a great time. I could write another two pages about stuff that happened. I'm glad eveything worked out. We are definitely going to have another event down south sometime soon.
