I think it's very important to get down the 1 dex downtime moves: mirage, legover, illusion, pickup, fairy, pixie. Then move onto the 1 dex downtime clipper moves like butterfly, bubba, paradox mirage, paradox illusion, etc. Don't skimp on 2 adds or downtime: those things are the building blocks for a lmost all of the harder moves.

I find that doing repeat drills works well. One that is very common is legover > mirage > repeat (so you get to do legovers and mirages on both sides till you drop). Same thing with illusions and pickups: pickup > illusion > repeat.

you have to learn every 2 add move downtime, and every 3 add move downtime or else you are a chump and every time you go to a jam, people will watch you play and ask, "hey can you hit __? how bout on your flip?" And you'll either say "of course I can, sucker!" or you'll feel great shame when you say "no, it was so hard to learn I just decided not to bother with it."

I guess you know what you have to do then.

It's not important, it's completely vital.

Well if you dont learn 2 add downtime components, then having a variety of sets wont help.

just doing them over and over and over until you're sick of them, and then doing them some more will get you that downtime dex you desire. it'll become slower, easier, and more controlled over time.
