Post by shred villain »

:!: :!: this summer i am going to start selling my bags. i have been making bgs for about 9 months. i have been selling them to kids in my school. but school is almost over. (plus kids in my school are dicks who steal bags and dont even know how to properly treat footbags.) as of now im thinking of selling 32 panels for $18 and 12 panels for $12. i will try to post some pictures of my bags as soon as i can find out how to post pics(i'm computer retarded). this is basically just kind of a heads up. i will post more later. i will also be working on some designs of my own that i might sell. :D

They're pretty solid. They all have good break-in qualities.

I have a few words of criticism first, though:

1. Show your products! Don't just say that you'll start selling until you have a solid marketing campaign. I'm not trying to sound like a dick here, but I need to be convinced about your stitching style. Pics will be needed.
2. Test the products! Don't rush into selling your bags until you know your product is going to perform the way they should. Get the footbag community to help you out on this. It would be a bit safer to see a review on your bags from a person with decent skill on modified.
3. Once the previous two have been managed well, then will you be able to figure out a price and begin selling your bags.

Seriously, no hard feelings. My best wishes go to your vill bags. I just need some validity on your bags before I buy/trade with you, if it comes to it. :)

I think the most pertinant point Waylon brought up is about knowing your product. If you havn't stitched with facile then don't expect to just fire off a facile 32 and expect it to be any good.

There are SO many variables in making a nice bag, I think you should spend alot of time trying out different things (stitch path, gather, filler etc) until, in your own opinion, your bags are the best in the world.

thank you very much guys. that criticism made me feel warm inside (seriously). i am half way done with my fifth facile 32 panel. i am definitely taking a lot of time and thinking and will not start selling until i have a good product. i might think about sending some out for testing in a bit (mosher and wasabi, you two will definitely be the first to test them.) this post i started was just a heads up. and don't worry because i will post pictures. i mostly have an idea on how to post them on here, it's just that i am trying to figure out how to get them onto my computer and into my documents from my digital camera.

i stitch for the love of stitching, not for the money. my fifth bag is really good imo. i dont make much money anyway so this will be good. also i am going to be selling more designs. 8 panel, 5 panel, and four panel. also i am going to sell two of my own designs. one is a 6 panel, and one is a 26 panel.(there not like the 6 and 26 that are already out there).
