Hey, I just went to the bus station to get my bus ticketr and they wouldn't sell me the ticket without my birth certificate that I lost. So my dad got me a copy and i have a ticket for 4 am on saturday morning, so i will arrive in montreal around 8 am saturday morning. Can someone relay this message to Kolo?

I will give a full breakdown in my blog but I figured that I should give some props to Ianek, Eli and the rest of the crew that helped make the first ever circle competition happen.

that is an AWESOME way to compete, Ianek told me that they dont want to put the intermadiate level. He wants this like the other sports .. do you see "no-pro" players in Open Tennis tournements or in golf ?? no, and who can put the limit of who is pro and who isnt ?? so, if you want to win you need to practice again and again and again. and its a good way to see pro IN YOUR FACE !!! im intermediate and i played with Scott Bevier, Mosher and Quoa ( a guy from Montreal ).

we were 18 competitors and i think we all had a great time.

Great shred on friday night, i went to Place des Arts with Kolo and Riley around 5PM and we quit at 12h30AM there was alot of 4square and some of us shredded. I met Chris and Paul, 2 very cool guys and they gave me sometips to strech (i needed it). thx guys

saturday, we were at NDA since 11AM but the comp started around 2PM (i think). the comp went very weel and everybody enjoyed this moment. Mosher is f*cking crazy !! he started laughing during HIS turn haha, that was awesome !!! and in semi finals, he did 4 torques in a row, PROPS !!! after the comp, we cleaned the place and went to the Desjardin's place to eat a lil bit. after the dinner, shred and 4square at PDA untill 10PM

i LOVED my weekend, i hope to see ppls i met there soon.

and finally, a BIG thx and props to Elis, Ianek and Kolo for this event. that was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO COOL !!!!

SO good. Straight up:

Circle competition was SICK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can honestly say that I support it in every way, and I really think it's an effective way of competing.

I didn't get past the first round, but I still had PILES of fun doing it, and it gave me an idea of what I need to work on a little more in order to be successful.

I also met some people for the first time that I hadn't met before, which was also cool. All around, I think this event went how everyone wanted: great.

Props to Ianek and Eli and Kolo and everyone else who helped out and did all the hard work. Also thanks to Ianek for the sleeping spot. That was key.

Circle shred competition is my new favorite. It went down so smooth and well, and I think everyone enjoyed it a lot. It gets an A+ in my book.

The first Circle contest was a huge succes!!!

Thanks to Eli, Kolo, Sebastien, Yacine, Flipsider, Kolo Sport, Footfighter, NDA Center and all of the competitors.

Everything went almost exactly how we expected it.

We had 18 competitors. Here are the results:

Hey all, Montreal was so sick. I had a fantastic time, Montreal is a kickass city, I really like the vibes and the way everything is setup. Although I don't speak any french, it was a great time none the less. As for Circle shred went, I think it went down perfectly. It was exactly what I was hoping it to be, you can just go up there and shred pressure free, and have fun. I think you perform a lot better in it because you get more chances to show what you can do, and you don't have the pressure of everyone watching just you. Everything went great, It was nice meeting a lot of the new montreal shredders, and kickin' it with people I have already met. I want to show a big thanks to Kolo, Ianek, and Ellis, and everyone else who made the Circle shred and the Jam happen. I wish I could still eb there shreddin' it up, hooefully again sometime this summer, you make the jam and I'll be there. Everyone was representing hardcore, and Kolo did a great job with the prizes and setting up, and he is the greatest sponsor a person could have

hey everyone, I had a great time and left a long post in the Rochester footblog about my last two events. Here's the part of that post where I talked about the circle competition:

The circle competition is my favorite tournament format by far. The only doubt I had about it was its length, but it stayed exciting the entire time. Every new circle was interesting to watch, and it really gives every player the freedom to show off their skills however they want. No ADDs or other such constraints, just some background music and a freestyle circle. You can do whatever you want to impress the judges, whether it's a long varied run, an insane combo, unique/weird tricks, or just one massive move. And you get many tries each match, so the best of every player comes out during the competition, unlike other formats which can be hit-or-miss. I hit a very solid Rubberman II (sumo>legbeater>matador repeat) first try during semifinals, sealed with a hand catch and pass to Bevier. I was trying to give him a run for his money, but of course he totally owned me and moved on to finals. Will Digges hit gauntlet in finals!! It was so intense because it was during a period where all three finalists were trying huge single moves to one-up their opponents' sick tricks. That's the kind of stuff that really makes the matches intense. There's a lot of depth to the game that is missing from other types of competition.
