Crossword puzzles

I just got into doing crossword puzzles. So far I can only really do the monday (easier) New York Times ones. I bought a crossword puzzle book that have some easier ones that are fun.
There are a few websites with some puzzles online, i'll post them later.

Those are fun, but I can't finish any newspaper ones.

I finished a "I don't know what you call them...free newspaper in a college town" before though. I was proud of myself.

I also like to play Jumble and other word games.

i like the scrabble things.... and i played this new game i found int he newspaper... its called sudoku

but i couldnt finish...its too hard

I just read a book all about crossword puzzles. It reminded me of footbag.
The book described what the scene was like at the annual crossworld puzzle championships that is held every year and it sounded very similar to the way footbag tourneys are described.
One of the main similiarites was the mention of how everyone in the hardcore crossword puzzle culture was chill, and that they had a tight nit online forum community.

I've started doing the newspaper crossword puzzles. I love them; they are a perfect difficulty (though, yeah, New York Times and The Globe and Mail are usually too hard). I find that I know so much diverse information, like Norse mythology and U.S.A. history...
I got my girlfriend into them too when I brought one with me one night, and we stayed up working on it. Good stuff! I get lost on a lot of pop culture ones though, like sports and music and contemporary literature.
