cant get video onto comp.

am i a retard or something? i plugged my DV camera into the computer via USB but nothing happens, i got some good footage and i want to show it. i searched for any new hardware but it's not there

P.S.- i hope there isnt a topic like this, i used the search tool and didnt find anything, soooooo

If your camera and your computer both have firewire then use that, it will work much more easily.

if not, perhaps try searching for the camera's drivers on the internet. BTW what editing software are you using?

yeah, i will try that.

I bet you could guess what im using......Window Movie Maker.

i've used it many times before but with a different cammera that i no longer have.

If you can get premiere (or better still avid), try using that.
