Mulroney

Post by Senor Grommet »

people, please: the best shuffle person ever was ryan mulroney!
In fact, according to the pros with whom I have spoken, he is the reason that shuffle exists today. He created the shuffle style, hich is characterized by lots of 3s and 4s done in rapid succession, for ex: ripwalk step ss mirage tap atm smasher smear smudge magellan pixie ss butterfly blur parkwalk step clip step ss legover etc.

Mulroney was the fisrt person to hit 30 consecutive tripless contacts, at worlds 99 i believe, and it was because of him that beople began to imitate his fast linking style rather than, lets say, the slower stylish Peter Irish sytle (rhymes).

Now, I might argue that Lon Smith is the best shuffler tho. He is good

I agree that Penske is very good at it too. But Mulroney is awesome.

Oh no, not leet sam, don't do it, you'll lose respect...

So let me get this straight (yeah, you actually stumped me, I can't believe it myself, I had never heard this term before) shuffle = good? What keeps Vasek and Irish from being shuffle, I kind of see it, but what specifically, if you can be specific?

Bum,

Shuffle is a style of play involving combos of moves that involve lots of dexes with both legs and hence a lot of body movement, probably called shuffle as the player will tend to move (er ... shuffle) around alot while throwing this down.
As Jeremy already stated a good example of shuffle is someone like Ryan, I would also say Vasek, and definitely Lon are two other immediately obvious examples of shuffling, I'd also include Genzu in there (if rubberman>rubberman II isn't shuffle then what is?)

Thank you HackyRichard, I was just about to ask how everyone forgot about Genzu, the inventor of Rubberman II.
Dude, I shred with this guy a few times a week, and he consistantly hits +20 double dex 4's, it's his thing.
