Beards

Post by Iron Clad Ben »

Anyone here have a beard? I don't remember off hand from pics or vids.

I grew one this week. I keep forgetting how scratchy and chafey they get. No fun. So I will probably shave it off again. How do you deal with the scratchiness? Does it not bother you or do you have some trick to make it go away? I feel like having a beard but it's just annoying right now and another part of me wants to shave it off.

BTW, while we are on topic. Hilarious website:

I used to have a beard :-)

I only go scruffy now though, because I have to shave for my job. What you do to avoid scratchyness:

A) Use moisturel on your face after you shave
B) Then wash your face every morning and night-and afterwards apply moisturel

Moisturel is dermatologist recommended so you won't break out-and it'll keep the hairs moisturized so they won't become dry=scratchy

girls like my facial hair ;-)

Haha, I actually grew one this week too and feel the same exact way. I just have one to test it out. Its nice because you don't have to shave but on the other hand you have all that other stuff. Prom is tomorrow, so It will probably come off - has to come off anyways for work.

A beard basically places me perfectly in the terrorist profile as far as appearance goes. I don't mind though and usually dedicate 6 months out of every couple of years to beard-time.
As for itching, its part of the beard growing experience, like an initiation. It weeds out the real beardo's from lazy people. A lazy person will invariable put his (or her) comfort before their beard, a real beardo knows that there are sacrifices that need to be made for the beards well being, and that the itching will go away as your beard matures.

I had my first beard this year!

I grew it and sported it for a few months and I loved it!

I will do it again!

I can only go so much as a goatee. Not a full one, but it's good enough. Makes me look really grimy. :o

I can grow a visible mustache, but it looks crappy. Im working on growing a beard, I want one by senior year. I think I'd grow somthing like Scott Ian's from Anthrax. Two words, Bad Ass.

That's been growing about 1½ weeks.
I'm growing my 3rd beard now. I'll have to shave it on 10th July though, when I go to army.
