Who will be bapped at this year's Worlds?

Post by max »

As Flavio asked in another topic: who is going to be bapped at this year's Worlds?

I've got my money on Riku and Serge, maybe a Stefan or Matthias?? Just speculation but I don't really know who'll be showing up and I don't know the new poles and finns

if they show up and play at the good level, I beleive a lot could make bap this year.

Who I think will do it:
Aleksi, Riku, Stefan, Tina, Phil Morrison

Who I think has a chance to do it if they play at their best:
Serge, Mathias, Ianek

Who could make it if they show up:
Clavens, Sudderman

and I probably forget some.. But many players have reached such a high level lately..

Quick question

Are you assuming they will baptize tina because she is arguably the best woman, or that shes the level of other bap men?

Cause if i remember correctly from videos, she still bails to mirage a lot. And clipper.

Dunno, it seems like if someone plays tiltless with a few 5's thrown in runs, that isn't really bap level.

EDIT: Forgot to write this part.

I'm not really clear on the usual requirements for bap, if they are what nick said down there, or if its what i am asking? So im not saying she SHOULDNT get in, just wondering if she is up to the bap level.

I always thought to get into BAP you have to show some extrodinary shred, or something revolutionary. Tina definatly falls into both of those catagories IMO, being the best female out there, I don't think the bales matter that much.

How many bap players are going to worlds? Will there be enough to induct anybody? I estimate there will be about 15 bap players at the event - some which don't play freestyle any more.

The only person I have seen enough of their game to think they'll get in (and who I know is going) is Phil Morrison. If he doesn't get in hell will freeze over.

Stefan for sure! He got a mention last year so he should be close to topping the list. For a guy who has been in the finals for nearly every event hes been at in the last 2 years or so, he definitely deserves it. He has illa skill too :D
Matthias also rocks the shit, stylie as fuck and soooo both sided and well formed with everything! Definitely at the top of the prospectives...

Id love to see more of Serge currently, he improves so fast it wouldnt surprise me if he was at the level now. Renato if he is playing alot this year and stays uninjured will be up there, he goes large with so much ease and his form is brilliant!

The way phil morrison was playing at nationals i would say he will make bap.

And that was 5 months ago, i wonder what crazy combos he is hitting now.

i can't say any one player really stands out for me this year (of those who i assume will be going) and i haven't played with alot of people who's names are being thrown around.

the 2 that i think are most likely would be reni and stephan. they always impress me and both have very cool styles and can throw it down mid string and make it look easy. i can't really guess at any one else because i just don't know enough to make even an educated guess.

i think (hope) it's time for the germs this year:

stef, matze, paul, (jakob)

100%: tina

reni is easily bap in my opinion but he's not the kind of guy to expose himself

haven't seen enough live shreddage from polish, finish or north american players so i can't really judge.
