the warm up jan was talking about is probably on my cam too, but, its too shaky, i had too zoom in from far away, becaus ei just saw him jumping around there, and thought man, i could film that, but it was too far and somehow my framestabiliser wasnt on then, os you cant see enough, but it sure would have been nice to make some footage on that thing, hm...next time... ;)

yeah, and the color is silver. i have silver laver too
Both wrong :D Be prepared for some big news :D

Vasek was (and most likely is still) wearing the new Footbag shoe which should be able to buy soon (check the footbag.org related stores for more info though I can't exactly tell when the shoe will be available) - the name is until now "Quantum" - The shoe is designed for footbag but they are quite similar to Lavers indeed. The Shoe is just slightly lighter as far as I know and you don't have to do all those crazy mods before being able to shred it hard :D Most things I know are not official so please don't take these infos here as fully and perfectly true - they are more based on rumours although I have seen the shoe myself and I know that it is not some kind of Laver shoe but the prototype of the new footbag shoe...

Btw thanks for posting that awesome video Marco ;)

(But it was way better live 8) )

Ps: I hope I have not somehow revealed something that should have been a secret 8O - but from the number of players that know as much as I do or even more who have also been at Euros I can pretty much guess that it is not the big secret anymore :D

:? - The quantum shoe is not in any way related to the one you are working on, is it ? I thought about that when someone at Euros told me about Quantum that I've read something about a shoe which should be designed for footbag only that is being created by you - btw how far is your footbag shoe project ? Besides I think that is a rather big problem of the footbag community sometimes - we just know too little about things going on somewhere else - if indeed that shoe will be a big success and your project will be demolished or whatever, it would be a big waste of time and a great pity, too :( I'm sorry to bring such bad news

How can more progress in footbag be so upsetting?

Whatever is supposed to happen will happen.

There's nothing I can do to change the current situation, and getting upset won't get me anywhere.

I am not going to stop my efforts, I am just going to outdo them. 8)

nah, i wasn't wrong - just think about why there were 4 smileys with a wink...and i never said they were lavers.

and well, it wasn't supposed to be totally secret anymore, but neither is it supposed to be the big news... all prototypes up until now, and tom no reason for being upset, there is absolutely no conflict to your project as far as i know.

@ Tom

Do you prefer climas or lavers ?

I do not like climas, you do, so why should all like the new quantum shoe more than yours? Very unlikely.

Moreover dude, you are like an artist.
You design the shoe how you like it.
After it is finished you can call it however you want- all people will call your name in relation to it.

As mentioned before this quantum shoe looks a lot like a laver ( which is quite good imo) but chances are great that it is not "the" optimal solution.

I guess it is the best for our sport to have more than three or four pairs of suitable shoes on the market.

Tom, do not be upset- with your work up to now you will ( and you already have) push the frontiers a little bit more .

I think Tom was looking forward to being the FIRST to develope a footbag shoe, that's all... I would rather be first then second too

I'm sure we all (including Tom) realize that having several Footbag Shoes to choose from would be great. I think Tom's handling the situation with a good deal of finess. Good job, buddy

keep it real

Although in almost all situations, the second product to come out is always better than the first. Unless it's movies.

Probably because they saw him do it 10 times, and saw that it wasn't hard for him.
