Why don't you find out what she wants to do? I.e. ask her this instead of asking us. Of course you will need to have a backup plan in case she especially wants you to take the lead.
I'm sure she knows plenty of good places to eat and will be happy that you're interested enough to have her show you.

Generally speaking women like it when a guy has planned ahead and can show her he knows what he's doing. That doesn't mean a "it's my way or the highway" attitude is needed. It just means being decisive, and not some girly man who needs her to make decisions for him. Women like a guy who is in control and on top of his shit.

Good way to do your homework Josh.

Don't go out for food on a first encounter, or at the very least put the bulk of the date before the food. Find something where the scenery changes a lot and you can talk about mundane things to avoid awkward silence.

Go for a nice walk around a cemetary or something.

No sarcasm, I would love it if a guy wanted to do that with me.

You're right, but that doesn't mean they can't go to a place she chooses, its all about how you play it. You can still be the decisive, confident one, and find out where she'd like to eat.
I've found alot of girls are over the macho bullshit, they're more interested in what your doing rather than who's obliged to come up with a plan -you still need to be confident and decisive-, like I said, you'd need to play it out like you're interested in learning about her - which you should be anyway. She'll dig it as long as she digs you. Have something planned before dinner though (and have a back up dinner spot), don't just show up and say "so what do you want to do?" and give her a wink, unless you're really confident that you're a sure thing.

From my experience, I'd whole heartedly disagree with that

There's grass and meat at the cemetery....

I can't contribute much, except that I think going macho would just end up in a shitty relationship. I don't pretend to understand women, but I think that you should view it a lot like developing a friendship. What I mean is, being fake and trying to hard are eventually gonna come back to haunt you... if you don't want a shitty relationship.

For the record I am IMing with Josh and he didn't bang her. It's OK though he's got like 5 other women lined up.

Would that be your experience as a drugdealer, or your experience finding Jesus and apologizing to Modified for being a dick? Man, I'm getting hot already...
