Footbag Question

I'm not entirely sure this is where to ask about this either, but here goes anyway:

I need some tips for changing the filler in a footbag, cause i am hardly a good stitcher, and i dont have the money to buy an abshire or any other kind like that. Also, do you think that BB's would be an ok filler for a footbag? I want to know, because im not liking the sand leaking all over the place. So any help, or direction would be great.

well if you tughten your sewing, sand wont leak anywhere, but anyway, lead coated bb's are fine, or so I have read.

what ive read and experienced, they suck, but that also depends on what size you use, if you use a size 8 or 7 shot its okay, but if you use regular sized bb's i highly recommend against it, regular sized bb's make horrible filler, its just to big and gaudy

So if i refilled it with shot, you think that would be alright? i dont think i would put regular sized BB's in only because of the reason you said, and just cause damn, how much would it hurt to accidentally hit myself in the head with it? hah

Everyone asks me that it seems, hah. Umm I dunno, it has just stuck with me i guess, i've had that ID on yahoo for like 4 years if not a little longer, so i am accustomed to jut typing it in without looking or anything, it just happens.

What bag are you planning to refill is my question. From there, I can know what type of filler you can use for it.

Its a 32 i got from World Footbag i dont like the sand in it and i was thinking maybe a better filler might help it along a little bit, i have had it for long enough to break it in, so thats not a problem, i dont like how the sand isnt heavy enough, so im thinking a different filler might help a little.

I got that 32 because i cant yet afford a nice one.

If it's from worldfootbag, I guess you can get some copper BBs and plastic pellets to replace the sand filler. Most of the bags from that site are exceptionally larger than the standard bag size these days (around the size of a golfball), so that sized filler should be feasible.

Matt_mcfarland: Yeah, i figured that out after i got it -_- lol, im getting some good income now, so i should be able to pick one up soon hopefully. Until then i will use my little Mr. and that 32.

Thanx for the help froma ll of you. Now i just need to figure out how im gonna be able to open the thing wihtout destroying it :-\

this one, check the stichers thread, see if someone lives near you that makes bags, if not you can always do it through the mail, handmade bags made by the dudes on this site are usually better than anything available comercially.
