I find full bags bounce way to high, and are harder to stall. But then again, I'm no pro (by any means).

alittle less than half... usually... sometimes around 60%

Definately not full, it's a bag not a ball! Squeeze the bag in the middle between two fingers, you should be able to just touch the facile together from each end.

If I stitch my bags so that the material and the stitching is easily broken in within, say, a week or more, (and I know that the bag will expand to a much larger size) I usually fill it around 50% or a little more than that. However, if I make a bag that has a deep stitch and gather, it's usually filled around 65-70%.

When you feel a broken-in bag that you filled with too little filler, it just doesn't feel right imo. You'll just need the right amount to compliment how much the bag will expand through the break-in process (that is if the bag will expand from your stitching method).
