Solo Session 35: 1 hour (Total since 24/01/06: 74.5 hours) - (Corrected after going through all of this years shreds)
Drilled: New moves, flogs, basic guiltless drills.
Notes: I finished studying at 5am this morning and hadn't played footbag that day, so I kicked from 5 till 6am, slept till 12pm and then sat my last exam at 2:30pm today.
I spent most of the time trying to hit a certain new 5add that I didn't end up hitting, footed a few times though.
I hit flog bsos (more like flog > toe > toe > toe > flog lol) and I finished the session with a few guiltless drills strung together like:
dlo > butterfly > pdx mirage rpt > drifter > ducking clip > pdx mirage rpt etc etc
If there was anything else, I don't remember it :)
New Moves: Well, quite a few new moves randomly :) was quite the exiting morning:
Flipside spinning ducking clipper
Flipside spinning ducking osis
Flipside fairy blender :)
Flipside food processor - :D The first 6 i've hit both sides, I also hit it good side first try which felt good :).

That's 2 weeks of footbag everyday so far.

This is my last entry in the BCS blog, i'm moving out! Thanks for the good times Brisbane! :)

Cheers Ian and Jamieson. Much appreciated :)

I kind of needed some "footbag encouragement". I feel as though i have completley fallen out of the footbag scene all togther. Like, not posting on modified much, not talking much to footbaggers on msn much, not playing much footbag etc.

I'm gonna get back into it these holidays. I think half the trouble is that my wheel footbag is dead as and my toby bag went in the fire place and its really hard to get out. =[

hmmm this is a pretty depressing post ay. I was keen to shred tonight, but its OH SO COLD.
Gareth said he would call me to play tomorrow, i hope he does. If not I will call him. I'm not sure how keen I will be on doing long strings though. Or strings at all. As I am pretty unfit. I have lost weight but gotten cardivascularly un-fitter. haha

this is a pretty long post, all blog worth aswell.
Hmm i gonna do some review of my game:

since nats, my flip toe has gotten really crap and i need to school it again. i need to cusion the support leg more when i do barflies and pdx whirls
my stepping on flipside is now terrible
i need to release the bag earlier on flip spins
my flip swirls (regular) need SO much work as well as flip rev swirls
strong side spinning is VERY good now and i am learning to spin out of everything now, butterfly is still so hard.
i need to learn some new toe sets like quantum and atomic.

good stuff:
whirls are getting ALOT better
spinning whirl every time on strong side
on flip, getting there
barflies are pretty good bs
ducks are still good
dives need some work
dlos are average
blenders are doing well
osis are still number one

hmmm
i have been writing this post on and off for 5 hours.
I started at 12am
its now 5

on another note:
i got back into abes oddesy
i was playing about 3 hours a day, hardcore trying to beat it.
hardest game on earth
for sure
(although elastomania is tough)
this game, (abes) could make someone cry.
i have been playing for six years and six years ago i was a n00b so i didnt save the mudokens properly. when finally, i got to the end after 6 years, i beat the game. Then i found out i needed to save atleast 50/99 mudokens and i had 48.
i was so pissed off
now
i have made it a life goal to beat that game. :)
im gonna do it.
then im gonna beat all the continuations of it, even if they arent on the console i have.

another topic. my school marks. Maybe the readers of this blog know that i have always done fairly well in school (like A's and B's). Well last term, i decided i would slack off cause i was lazy. JUST FOR ONE TERM. I ended up getting my first E's (ICT AND HISTORY, HATE BOTH OF THOSE SUBJECTS WTIH A PASSION). This made mum go wild and she thinks that my life is over and all this shiz. She has been bitching about it for the past 3 weeks and im so sick of her whining about it. Obvioulsy, i wasnt going to let my marks drop for the rest of the year, and im only in grade ten...so its not that important..(even if it is a foundation for future grades). She is pretty much the only one who cant understand why I would take a break from the good marks. Yes, I will bring them back up this term, but holy hell can she make a big deal out of things.

I havent been getting on with her too well as of late anyway. She is going through menopause or mid-life crisis or whatever and is moody and shiz. It probably also doesnt help that im 16 in July and we have completley different views on everything. My Christian life hasnt been going too well, either. I have just kind of slacked off on that but im still going to church and youth. I will pick back up soon.

hmmm, excuse my grammar, spelling and punctuation as its 5:27am and im pretty lazy and weary.

Anyways, i gotta tidy some things up in my life and get back on track. This was a farkin huge emo rant and my fingers just kept going haha. I havn't vented in a while, infact i hardly ever vent. Which probably isnt so good.

Thanks to anyone who read it.

Im out

Jesse, don't slack off in school... don't let it become a habbit because those habbits are hard to break. Trust me, your school is your future.
Don't go too hard on your mum, she loves you and only wants what's best for you.

But, anyway, I really dug Oddworld, and haven't played Abe's Oddesy.

Thanks Gareth and Hagesy.

Gareth, Abes is like, the very first of the trilogy. It was out on PS1. Platform game.

Best fun ever.

anyways.
i shredded lastnight

for nearly an hour (started at 11pm) lol.
I woke mum up with the banging

I did some pretty cool stuff! Ummm, i had the shiz in my head a minute ago..

oh yeah, pdx whirl>spinning clipper rpt first shot
flapper>rev swirl first shot (hit before)
36 contacts of osis>ss butt
some other stuff
there was alot of drilling involved though. I need to school my tiltless a fair bit. I have been playing without the toe mod cause i have been too lazy to change it. It makes some stuff easier, but other stuff alot harder.

Seshed today for about 2 hrs. Good sesh. School whirls and spinning from things besides clipper. Also did some zooming. My zooming is effing awesome atm. I have heaps of control over it and can zoom pretty much every time from bs. I was trying consec spinning osis, 4 was the best I got i think. Pretty poor but oh well.
New stuff
ss toewhirl>pdxwhirl>pdx mirage rpt
toewhirl>gyro mirage rpt (strong side was really hard to spin from)
toe whirl>merkon rpt
flipside food (inspired by Mr Bathgate  ) sealed with osis but dropped the next move :(
about 10 contacts of spinclip>infinity rpt (i have lots of trouble spinning from butterfly)
7 contacts of whirl was (not so bad, left knee was hurting from bad landings)
some other stuff of which i cant remember

i have been fiddling around with whirls a fair bet latley, seeing if i should do them up/down or midtime. Still not sure.

anyways, i will keep schooling whirls for a bit.
Holidays are going good. Staying up till 3am, getting up at 2 :)

I should stop lazing around though. The rest of the holidays will be devoted to getting a job. I need money for these things:

-Nats in Hobart approx. $500-600 (i like to spend, also I don't want mum paying much this year)

- iPod video 60 gig approx $550 (i would really like a portable music player and seeing as this plays videos, i can load my 30+gig of footbag on there and my family guy/skateboarding movies/12 or so gig of music on there)

- new video camera - approx. $1200-2500 (My current one is just retarded and getting out of date. I also want a good 3CCD cam and thats how much I'm willing to pay. I also want a decent lense..fish eye or wide tele converter will do)

I should be able to save all that money by January 07' im hoping.

Anyways im enjoying big blogs and i think i will continue to write them. I dont mind who reads or who doesnt but comments/replies every now and then are nice.

Props on flip food! and zooming sounds ace. I also want to save up for a good vid camera. Sounds like we have exactly the same budget and desired features! I want to get a really good camera sometime in the next few years, I'm talking $3000+ :P will rule.

lol you n00b. The first time I played Abe's Odyssey I saved all 99 and then went back saving less each time to see the different endings although I think there are only 2 or 3. It's a good game - refreshing when it came out because there was such a glut of 3d platformers at the time - although fairly dated now I guess and definitely too short and easy. There is one of those hidden level things where you have to save the slave dudes which was really frustrating I think but the rest were fairly straight forward.

SCREW YOU JEREMY HAHAHAHA.
No, but really, thats pretty cool. Much respect. I started saving all the fellas when i started playing again.
I.e. When i was twelve, i just let the guys die hahahaha

damn.

Anyways, i havent played footbag in 2 days. Pretty lazy but oh well.
Today was a friends birthday and we went to kangaroo point and then to southbank, to see a movie (although we were informed all the movies had sold out so that was ghey)...

Kangaroo point was soooo cool. There is this big rock climbing wall and and there were some 'parkour' (www.pkaus.com.au) dudes there doing backflips off walls and shiz. Some crazy ass guy ran up a nearly vertical wall (3 running steps up) then back flipped, perfectly landing. He has only been doing it for like 6 months too.

They eventually asked if I wanted to try and I said yes. First they start you out by giving you like support with their shoulders and stuff and just getting the feel. Then you move on to putting your hands on their shoulder, running up the wall and backflipping, then they hold your hands, then they hold one hand, then you just gotta do it yourself.

I ended up landing one myself but i kinda got physced out too much on a bad one. It hurt my ankle and my lower back but oh well.

It was sooo much fun and I'm gonna try and get real good at just that one element of parkour.

Also I saw a super sweet shred spot! It wasnt far from southbank either. Gareth, we should check it out these holidays.

Anyways, im pretty tired and its 2:35 am. I should go to bed soon..

cya!
-Jesse

Not the way I'm playing atm

Had a small session tonight... It was more because I should, rather than because I wanted to.

I actually started questioning why I play and almost talked myself into the fact that it's so easy to quit.
I miss kicking in a circle.
I thought about this... I got as far as I did because I always had someone to kick with.
When I first started I had Tuesday and Thrusday nights with Forra, and then weekends with Foxy.
Then it was just weekends with the BCS crew and the occasional week night.
Then it was just monday nights with Foxy.
Then, monday nights with Foxy and sometimes Caroline.
Then just with Caroline.
Now, just me.
I know I'll never be competative in the sport, and I feed off others as an encouragement to play, but with no-one around, it's so easy to be lazy.
At the moment, there's almost no reason to go in on a monday night, other than to play on my own. So why would I even bother playing any other day, alone?

Bah!

Anyway, like I said, small session, just to get back into it... to get the feel for it.
It was damn cold tonight.
I hope I'll play better next week. I'm going to go back to basics for a few sessions as I've found I tend to not use toe moves much anymore.
