YEAH, Germany beat Sweden.
The referee didn't really impress me, he gave cards although it seemed he hadn't even seen what happened (both Lucic's cards were deserved though in my opinion). Smiling when giving the red card was a wrong move.
Still, Germany totally Dominated with capital D. I think it's always good for the tournament that the hosting country gets through, the atmosphere in the can be sensed even through the TV.
The defense of the Swedes were really lost all the time, Germany had at least 15 shots towards the goal and only Isaksson's great saves kept the result in only 2-0.
Argentina - Mexico in 15 minutes!

the korean player didn't make the pass, it was deflected off of the korean players foot, therefore it should be kept as offside.reni wrote:... it was a korean player who made this pass. ...
Also when they showed the replay of the goal being shot in, the refs. assistant still had his flag up in the air.
i dont know, that just really pissed me off.
yea podolski is a monster...
too bad he signed a contract before the world cup, cuz he would probably get better offers after the world cup ... im pretty sure he'll still shine.
not that 10 million euros for 4 years is bad ... cuz that's fucking awesome .. but im pretty sure he could get something better, especially if he scores some more goals.

Lucas Neill went for a legit challenge, the Italy player stepped on him and then "fell over"
it's now 3am and I can't go to sleep because I'm seething with rage. RAR.

It was a free kick, not a penalty.I'm not a Beckham fan, but that penalty against ecuador was impressive as hell. Bend it like yourself man.
And yes it was impressive, quite unlike the entire rest of that match actually.
back to the Italians: they are fantastic divers (like a lot of European teams actually). It ruins the game. Think about it, you have these grown men, at the top of their physical form, spectacularly falling down at the slightest gust of wind, clutching their legs, heads etc. like if they were on the brink of death. A bloody disgrace is what I think. And before anyone pipes in: yes I know the French do it too, and I'm not proud of it.

I love Italy! They should join the Italian olympic swim team!
Fuckin' divers...
Australia outplayed the Italian team today in every way. But they lost for being too honest I guess. I can't wait 'til Italy gets hammered by Germany or Brazil O_o.
If they can dive that far. I don't doubt it.
*cough*crooked coach*cough*
And did you notice how the Italian fans weren't roaring in excitement???....yeah...they should be ashamed.

Australia also didn't win because noone in the team seemed vaguely interested in kicking the ball into the goal which as I remember, is a fairly vital part of the game

Holy Grail? (Nostradamus's prediction for Spain victory)
And what Dan Brown (The Da Vinci Code’s author) is going to say about such interpretation of The Holy Grail?
