Step-mom Thinks She's Good

Well, my stepmom thinks she can make a better 32 panel bag than any of you guys.

So I gave her a template, and she's going to order some facile, copper/zinc bb's, etc.

We'll see how it turns out.

Btw, she's a great sewer, but I think she got a little too cocky on this one. She's never made a footbag before.

Remind her to mix something else in the bag with the bbs like pellets or sand.

This should be interesting! Is she at all aware of the qualities of a pro footbag? You should enlighten her first, give her a chance at least

The thing is that she doesn't know the very minute subtleties that go into making a bag good, there is ALOT more to it than just attatching together 32 panels, and even that is quite the task while still making it look good!

Would a good extra filler for it be used sand from a sandblaster? I have buckets full of it.

And no, I gave her a template from the pattern generator at the top of the page.

I also wrote like a page of notes for her.

I think most people use pellets for 32s... i believe people like mosher use some weird mix like gluefoot, i dont think ive seen many sand 32s though, but it would probably work.

People use lots of stuff for 32's, not just pellets. My mix is something pretty hard to copy actually.

I have made a sand filled 32, however it is very hard to make it not leak. Traditional stitching methods will not work for a sand filled bag, the sand will leak out through the bleed holes.

I would recomend starting with the super basic easy filler that is really common these days (however not thaaaaaaaaat good at all) of just plastic poly pellets and steel bb's(shot). You can get both at walmart most likely.

I told my stepmom to buy Ultrasuede Light if she really wanted to be good, so guess what she did?

She went to a store, and bought some type of suede (could be normal ultrasuede) I just thought this was funny.

She also bought 6000 copper BB's... lol.

We'll see how this turns out.

If they are any good, would someone like to buy them? (after she gets Ultrasuede Light of course). They'd probably be 20+shipping.

5 bucks no ... but theres also no way you'll get 20 for a bag right off the bat.
but what you can do, is find some other new stitchers who would be willing to do a trade with you/your step mom.

trading would probably be your best bet

Myself, I think a good idea would be sending off one of them to a good shredder, or great shredder stitcher who could make a good review of one of the bags.

Yeah dude, until someone other than you says the bags are good, 20 is a pretty high asking price. Send one out to someone and get them to review it.
