red bag over china
Hello my name is michael wiwchar
I have recently started footbagging again. I suppose the wife said I was getting too fat so she suggested that I start up again. I hope to return to the level of fluid guiltless that I was at a while ago.
I session for 90 minutes everday now. I presently live in Shenzhen China. So I suppose I can post so amusing and interesting stories about life in China. I work at a toy factory doing international sales but hope at some time in the future to return back to Canada.
Here are some highlights of my last session,
7 osis in a row back to back
4 ripwalks
I will start a challenge section because I live in China and it is beyond impossible to find motivation besides the wife commanding I footbag.
Take care,
I will post more tomorrow. Nothing else to do at work.

Hey, it's good to hear you're kicking! Thank you wife for us.
I look forward to reading about your game and progression, guess I have another blog to add the list of regular ones I read. I like that.
I hope you don't mind the posts in your blog. Some people do.. You should try to build a scene in China!

I practiced for the usually ninety minutes last night. I spent most of my time osis, however it was a little disappointing since I only hit four in a row last night. I did hit a couple of torques. I think I will continue on this osis based practice for the rest of the summer. I will keep you posted.
On the bus to work this morning I saw an amazing car accident. One of those flatbed trucks that takes cars to the car dealership was on fire and so were so of the cars. Pretty interesting to look at. Chinese people running everywhere. However, it backed up traffic like mad so I was over and hour late for work. No big deal since I am a foreigner I can away with things like that.
No scene here whatsoever. However, the chinese kids love it. I was an oral english teacher about a year ago and the kids loved it. They would always ask me what sport I liked so I would do a little demo in the classroom and they loved it. I tried to get something going at the school but due to the ridiculous amount of time they spend in class it was difficult to find time to really get it up and running. I know there are some of high shcool students here, just imagine going to class from 7am to 9pm everyday. It is not that I didn't try but just that it always collided with class time. I am on the wrong side of 30 to put in any time to go to the university and try to recruit players there.
I have emailed all the "clubs" in Hong Kong but they do not seem to exist anymore as no one has responded to me. I live an hour away so it would be easy for me to go there on the weekend. About two years ago I was working on doing demos at the amusement park here in town, "happy valley", but it never got through the negotation stage. However, I believe that it is still possible because they have jugglers, breakdances and x games there as side venues so if anyone was interested in say living in china for a year and doing footbag demos I am sure it could be arranged.
I think that is about it for today. I do not mind people posting here as I gives me a chance to put in my feedback. I mean I have nothing to do for 7 hours or my workday so fire away. It is interesting to read peoples comments.

A beautiful summer day in an industrial hotbed. The smell of pollution and decomposition fill the air. Your sweat is grey due to wearing a layer of pollution on your skin. Oh how I love the summers here.
Practiced again last night. I hit 7 seven osis in a row again last night. I also was getting some pretty good consistancy of hitting three and or four osis in a row about 90 percent of the time. I was also finally able to get those heeled one up again. You know those ones that get stuck on your heel and kind of jam you.
Personally I would like to thank everyone here who blasted hakker for me. I am too old to get involved in a verbal war with him. I hope to rise about stupidity like that. So if you read this you get props or may thanks take your choice.
Tommorrow is my day off so I will try to do some osis based moves. I plan on practicing pixie osis, torque and atomic osis (flux). I will keep you posted. These were things I could hit a few years ago so it is worth a try. Just really want to focus on consistancy.
Anyways it is CFL time. My team is the roughriders so off to listen.
Take care,
Mike

I sessioned last night and the osis is getting smoother. I hit 17 in a row last night that was fairly rewarding. My second best string was 8 then four strings of 7. So, I think it is pretty good, not spectacular but decent. I played for my usual 90 minutes. I was playing to some good ol PE fear of a black planet. Oh so good.
I was not able to make my second session yesterday. I got caught up in making a phone call in the morning for a family to Canada. That kind of sucked by hey it is never bad being a good person.
The riders lick my ass. Enough said, what the hell is being down 45 to 7. Awful.
Take care,
Mike

Hey Mike, just wanted to say congrats on getting back into the sport. I like your blog-- you just kinda say whatever you feel like, so it's more than "here's what I hit."

Yeah,
Of course I love my wife, although technically not my wife yet just my fiancee. She is chinese from rural village China so that is why she may seem odd to you. There is just a whole lot of cultural difference there sometimes. It is interesting going back to here village, however I have only been there once. It makes me really respect her and her family for supporting her to get as far as she has in life. Ah, that is a story for another time. Next time I go to the village I will write more up on it.

I sessioned osis again last night. My best was eight in a row and then 7 and several strings of five. I suppose it was an all right session. However, I was constantly getting interrupted by phone calls. People looking for tutors. I politely declined. I have no interest to be a teacher anymore.
It is really easy to practice at my place. I mean my roomate and his gf are easily some of the laziest people in the world. Their life is centered around the tv so I have hours to practice at night. I just can't understand who peoples lives can be so dominated by electronics. I mean, I enjoy ps2 and watching movies but it does not control my life. I think that is the most ridiculous thing ever. It sucks since I would love to do a session in the morning before work but the roomates gf would freak out because she has not had her 18 hours of sleep for the day. Man she is so lazy. She is a univeristy student who doesn't attend university. I think sloth is not a strong enough word to describe her lifestyle.
Anyways, I think that is it for now. More write ups tomorrow.

Osis last night was four in row. I know that sucks, but my head has not been in the game lately. The past two days I had business meetings so I did not get home until late and with the roomate moving out things are stressful in my life. It seems like everyday there is something else of mine missing. Three days ago I was two box sets. Two days ago It was ps2 games. Yesterday it was two pair of shoes. You know it is really hard to try to trust people when they are locking their doors and stuff keeps going missing. I dunno in a couple of days it will be good. I really blame his gf. She is awful she is absolutely the worst person I have ever met. It has been a year living with her and it has been a total strain on me mentally. Oh well, on a positive now that she is gone I will have my footbag room back that is sweet. It used to be my footbag room but she took it over when my roomate dumped her ass and she refused to leave so I am stoked about that. Two days until I can start to really play seriously everyday.
I hope you all have an excellent day

Hey Mike,
I love reading your footblog! I visited China and Hong Kong just two years ago in the summer, and was really immersed in the traditional lifestyle that was happening over there. And I know how people can literally be so lazy there (especially in Hong Kong, unless you don't count the frantic shoppers
).
I wasn't much of a player two years ago, and even if that was the case I didn't recall a footbag scene anywhere in China. Maybe shuttlecock kicking in some parts. If ever I go visit China again, I'm sure to keep in contact with you so that we can shred.
Keep up with the osis training!

I have my shred room back now it is nice. One year without it is nice. Summer here is hot, really hot. yesterday it was 38 here. Man shred in that is liking swimming sweat. Nothing else to report.
Take care,
Mike

I had a decent session last night high string was seven and I had four of those last night. My session started off slow but really picked up after about fifteen minutes. I hit several strings of five and four in row. I was pretty good.
I finally got into my footbag room, it is really nice to have my room. I have a fair amount of space now and my place is peaceful now. I jammed for about ninety minutes last night. I think I had to adjust to having space to play. I was playing in my room before so no space and I think that effected my session since I was crammed in so the addition of space maybe had me thinking too much. Anyways, it is still hot as, but I am doing my best to keep motivated and practice despite the heat. With the low today of 30 it is ridiculous here. Hey at least it is good for the waist line.

I sessioned again last night. I finally reached my goal of practicing 500 hundred osis a session. My record was ten last night with several strings of six. If I can keep up hitting 10 in a row for the rest of this month and then all of July, I will move on to my next concept in August instead of September. Not sure what it will be, maybe the ever exciting paradox mirage. I know that I can easily hit far more complicated things but I want the solid base so I can hit bigger things more consistantly.
If anyone who reads my blog can anyone advise me on this question. Now that my osis is getting consistant should I practice freezing it and then throwing it into the next osis or work on it with momentum to just go back and forth. Any feedback is welcome here on my blog.
Have a great day

I personally like going back and forth with osis, but I think that throwing osis > far osis > far osis ... is fine too. OR osis > far osis > osis > far osis
