Good morning modified.

It is now monday, and once again, here I am at work. I dont have any lessons today, so I will not be doing much of anything for the day.

Friday
I didnt play friday because I went out with the Board of Education of the city that I work for. It was a lot of fun. I was the only person there that wasnt Japanese, so everyone wanted to talk. We ended up going to a hotel for a beer and food buffet. It was Delicious. I got to talk to people pretty much as high up as the Mayor, well actually the two people right below the mayor.
After the buffet, the majority of us went to Yakiniku, which is grilled meat, except that you grill it yourself. I got real drunk and had a lot of fun.

Saturday

I wanted to play but I was hungover all day long. I still played, but nothing impressive came out of the session.

Sunday

Yesterday was a fun session. I felt mostly refreshed from playing like crap the day before. I had a lot of bsos in my strings which always feels nice. I put a little effort into swirls, torques and barrages. Not much special I dont think.

I think I put together a shred 30 though. I have to work on it, but at least its on paper for me to look at and think 'Is this really doable?'

Dont worry, I saw her last night, and she said it was ok...

But yeah, that's too bad.

now for yesterday.

I got home a little earlier than usual, which meant I had a little more time to relax and watch a couple of videos before I went to shred. I got to the station around 7 and saw this girl I haven't seen in a long time. We ended up talking for about 20 minutes, which was nice, because I like talking with her. After that, I started warming up with some juggling. It was nice.
I ended up shredding for about 3 hours. I feel like I played pretty hard, plus it was really humid, so I sweat a lot :!: I played without a shirt, which is my favorite way to play, so I didn't get bothered that much by the sweat, except when it got in my eyes

I don't really think I hit anything special, except for

flip pixie symp mirage

but that is ok. I started working on my shred 30 for worlds. It is going to be a lot of work to get it down, but that is ok. It will be worth it.

Have a good day.

I went into yesterday's shred not expecting much, and that is what I got out of it. I was fairly tired from the day before, shredding 3 hours or so. I didn't warm up as well as I should, and thus I tired out fast. I schooled swirls for most of the session. I hate that trick. At the same time, I love it. I don't have it down by any means, which is bothersome because I really want it, I guess I just don't school it hard enough. I feel like my problems lie deeper than just not being able to swirl. My control with clipper sets seems to be insufficient and that really bothers me. I have been shredding for about 7 years, and I feel like I skipped over so many of the basics. That is what I get I guess.

Oh well, today I will drill more of the basics and tiltless for a while.

Yesterday I schooled flip clipper.

clipper x 50 and then I stopped because I didnt have the willpower to keep going. I will just keep drilling like that though, because it will pay off. God damnit it will pay off :!: :D

I think I hit something else to, but I can't remember...

Have a good one.

Do you like / have you tried reverse swirls much? For some reason I've always found them easier than normal swirls, though I should probably work on those at some point too.

Glad you can keep up the drilling!

I dont/ cant really do them, although I'm glad you mentioned it, because I want to start doing those too. Maybe if I start doing those, regular swirls AND reverse will become easier. I will start today.

I just got out of the pool at my school and MAN, it felt good. I went swimming with my 6th graders. It was fun. I think I got a little tan. That is good.

Morning.
I have been working on spins, gyro set, swirls, barrages, dlo's, nuclear set.

Yesterday I went to meet up with Kenzo at Ocat. There was this dance team there. It was elementary school students. Their teacher was cute! SO, of course I asked the kids about her and ended up talking with her for a while...

I should work on my challenges more...

Over the weekend:

gyro clip x 9

barfly (with a piece of chocolate)
dyno > zooming osis (bsos)

double spinning clipper midstring

Yesterday I didnt shred for too long, but it was a good shred.
I had a talk with coach, and he told me some good pointers that came in handy

I thought about my shred30 more, re-did it a bit, but still am not by any means ready for Worlds  Man, time keeps running out, and I dont do anything about it. Oh well. Can't win em all :?

Here are my thoughts on how juggling and footbag are similar.

In Juggling, sets are absolutely necessary in order to improve. Without a good set, no, not only a good set, but a good CONTROLLED set, it is very hard to advance. huh. Sounds like footbag. The only thing, atleast when it comes to me, is that I have ALOT more control with my hands than I do with my feet. The thing that sort of bothers me, is that it took about 3 years or so to realize all of this. SUre, I had thought about how important sets are , and have read about it on modified plenty of times, but for some odd reason i thought that: A, it didnt apply to me -or- B, I had already mastered that aspect of control. BOY WAS I WRONG. I think that is very Egocentrical. I am almost embarassed that I thought that. Now that I have realized it, I can improve it, which will lead to bigger and better tricks, less risk of injury, less risk of boredom, and without a doubt, will lead to more fun, and more ways to express myself.

Next everything in juggling deals with patterns, but more importantly, every pattern has a RYTHYM. I feel that what kind of rythym is correct is based on who you are. What I mean is that one mans junk is another mans treasure, or what is slow to someone, may not be slow to the next. When I juggle I notice that I am able to do the same pattern over and over again without getting bored, but when it comes to footbag, It is hard for me to do it over and over. When I really asked myself why, I realized it is because although I have been doing a move for how many months, or how many years, it is not consistent, so when I drop it I just get frustrated, and I think 'I can't believe I just dropped on a ...' . If, from the beginning I truly worked NOT ONLY THE PATTERN (trick), but BOTH SIDES over and over again, I think I would have skipped that stage of frustration and if I would have dropped it, I would probably think 'Oh. My leg got in the way.' -or- 'Well i dropped it, but that was after 25 contacts, so that is not THAT bad.' After all, I can go 3 minutes juggling without a drop, and that is pretty much freestyle, incorporating different patterns, but in footbag, not considering that fact that footbag is a lot more tiresome, I can barely go for 30 seconds, and that is only once in a while (I am totally guessing with that 30 seconds, btw  ) Im not sure if the first part of this paragraph and the last are related, but oh well, you get the point.

Maybe all that up there makes sense. Maybe...

Also, Juggling is fun. So is footbag. :)

I have more to say, but I think I should think about it more.
I am gonna play footbag today.

Yesterday,

double spinning clipper ( I was ON with it yesterday. I think I was something like 5/7) that is a FUN move, especially after the first spin, starting the second, realizing that you have spotted the bag, know where its going, and by the time the second spin is complete, and you are beginning to set up for the delay, you see the bag, right where you expected it to be. ahh, footbag.

also came closer to locomotion

Thanks for reading.

Bye now.

Hey ,

I played for just about an hour yesterday. I think that was a good thing to do, considering I have been playing everyday. Yesterday was this:

schooling

illusions
p illusions

fairy walks.

I continued my practice for my shred30. I think that if I keep this up, I might have a good chance of getting past the first pool at worlds?!

I also took some time to school barrages. I think I sort of found a new technique that involves really cranking my ankle at the beginning of the dex. I tried in front of a window that I could see my reflection in, and I think it looked pretty nice. Now I just need the timing.
I think this technique will help a lot with my barraging as a set, but we will see for sure.

I felt more satisfied with the session, even though it was a short as it was.

It makes me want to do that everyday. Maybe I will.

Hey again.

I played baggy ball yesterday in preparation for Worlds. I realized that I will be in Germany nxt weekend, and the problem is that I am NOT READY for routines, OR shred 30. But dont worry, I will do my best.

I worked more on barrages and a little on datws. torques too. I dont work on them enough, so they are coming along really slowly

Oh well. Footbag is fun.

Oh yeah. I was waiting for a friend yesterday and I saw this kid who is really good at juggling. I met him and his friend once before, and juggled with them for a big. They are really good with 3 and 4 balls, but also juggle up to 7. That is awesome. I was talking with him about his 4 ball mills mess, and he explained the basics of it to me. I have no problem with 3 ball, so I want to get 4 ball down. He can do it really well. His friend wasnt there, but apparently he is number two at freestyle yo-yo, but Im not sure if that was in Japan, Asia, or the world, but at any rate, he is good. He showed me some stuff when I met him and, well, it was sweet. He also kept 3 diablos going at once, and can throw two yo-yos at the same time about as well as I can walk. 8O
That is awesome.

Today is more footbag, because I want to be ready for Worlds, but also because it is fun...

I also worked on p illusions and fairywalks, which need work :?

Hey.

Yesterday I did this with a footbag:

osis > swirl (footed flip)

dimwalk > sidewalk > p mirage (rpt)

got better at gyro mirages and vortexs and mobii (kind of  )

I am stoked to play today. My legs feel great, I have energy, worlds is soon, and I was supposed to go see this girl sing, but I think I might jsut ditch that and shred. I love footbag, and you.

EDIT: I forgot, bubba beater midstring
