out>in dex help

Post by thlaxx »

hey, i have my in>out dex down perfect. But i cant even seem to get a feel of what to do for out>in dex...like for a in>out my dexing leg goes up, then to the outside...and its kinda like an upside down opposite, reciprical "L" , a small dex. I know once i got the hang of that, it was a piece of cake, but i cant get an out>in, any tips/tricks!?!?

Do you know the other out-in dex moves, like legover or out dex atw? Learning those, I imagine, will help a lot with getting the concept of out-in dexes, which will help with illusion. If this doesn't work, maybe try just doing the motion of illusion over and over again until you feel really comfortable with it, then add the bag.

Something that helps get a feel for dex's is taking a 2-liter soda bottle and circling it both ways with each leg, trying not to hit it. I used to do it each session 50 times in>out and 50 times out>in with both legs, trying not to put my leg down inbetween dex's. It also helps build up dexing speed for double dex's (I think, at least it helped me get DATW).
