I agree with the above post.

Wasn't shred 30 supposed to be a routine when they came up with it?

I believe shred30 (which was originally shred45) was meant to be spontaneous shred, as hard as you can bust. Obviously this didn't work because people started planning to get the best score.

What it originally was isn't really an issue though, what it is today is. Preplanned technical difficulty.

I think it's ok, but you should be polite enough and ask the person if they mind that you use their routine before you do it.

No, I don't play soccer. Yes, there are competitions. 4 years. Lots of practice.

Well, it obviously isn't spontaneous anymore, since we're "arguing" about copying routines. Just asking a simple question about how it was suppposed to be.

uhh, yes, I know you asked a simple question. And I gave a simple answer. I said what it orginally was supposed to be, and then stated that no matter what it originally was supposed to be it doesn't matter, it's about what it is today. I really wasn't dissing you or anything man...

I guess that did sound kind of harsh. Didn't mean for it to be.

I'm not against people copying the routines (in fact, it's probably a great way to learn new moves) but I just don't think you should flat out say you made it up (if you didn't).

Agreed. Pretending you invented it = lame.

Wasn't Shred30 supposed to be improvisational shred?

I guess most of the players who want to place high in shred 30 got their shred planned.

I think its totally cool, as long as its not move for move, like... the EXACT same routine. But if they change it up a little then its an effective point adding session.

I think that if you're going to judge somebody on the difficulty of thier shred30, you should dock a small amount of points if you're copying somebody else delibrately. Part of the difficulty is coming up with something that works for you, right? It would be slightly less difficult if you were to just take an idea that somebody else already had...

this is a fairly mute point, but still.

I have no problem with copying a shred 30 or even a routine. In fact there are a few of my favourite routines that I'd love to pull off myself one day although probably not in competition - just for my own personal achievement.

I guess I see footbag as a sport and not as a hobby/religion/art form/way of life - I'm fairly sure I'm in the minority on that though (based on peoples actoins rather than what they say).
