June 25th
Length:
1 hour

Drilled BOP's, hit some random strings, tried to beat drifter rec but equaled my past pb at 23. Started to drill whirls but got pissed at them. Footed ducking PS whirl a million times, this feels like a flukey trick so it doesn't bother me that much.

New trick: ripped warrior. about time :P

June 26th
Length:
2 hours 30 mins (Total since 19/1/06: 103 hours)

Shred at Fed Square with dan alex and janis. Drilled toe whirls with Dan alot, he helped me major and I went away with much better whirls than I came with. Still a ways to go though.

Shuffle was oooon. Really good today :) Hit stepping whirl > blurry whirl, tombstone bsos a bunch of times, almost bsosx2 once. Tried so hard to get it b2b but no cigar :x Hit whirr > run > footed double dyno :x but got double dyno later on :P

still really not happy with string length. And doing easier tricks doesn't really seem to help it :? bah oh well. it will come.

oh yeah, shrednie was rockin it today, his barraging and double downs are hothot.

Thx Nic.

Forgot to say, the other day I hit pdx tap bothsides and torquescrew, thx to nic and toby for inspiration ;)

June 26th
Length:
1 hour

Didn't feel that sore last night after the melb shred and had just bought a gorillaz 'g-sides' album so I thought hmm... shred with gorillaz? hell ja. Found the song for my next solo video too, it's so cool ;) listening to it right now mmm yeah.

What quickly became aparant is that although I wasn't sore, I was fatigued :P still good sesh though.

Drilled illusions and whirls. Also spinning on one side, saw heaps of improvement. I decided to just do one side for the moment to minimise confusion, the 'adjustments' I have to make to have a straight spinning set are complete opposites on the different sides of my body so, yeah.

rubberman first try. I shit you not. Couldn't believe it... apparantly my atomics are better than I thought :o

Wooo big week. hillsong in sydney was amazing, such a good wek, and has helped inspire me to make some changes. good stuff.

Shred:

Sunday 2nd July
Length:
2 hours 30 minutes.

Sesh with Ian, Dyalan, Jas and Guido. We stayed as one circle so it was pretty laid back, hardly broke a sweat  But my legs gave in earlier than I expected which was weird. Anyway hit some good stuff, blurry whirl > tombstone a few times, tombstone BSOS plenty of times, pretty much in love with this trick. I think I hit rubberman again, if not I got reeeally close. That's all I can remember.

New move: Backside Blizzard

Monday 3rd July
Length:
1 hour.

Solo drilling sesh. Drilled Illusions and whirls and spinning. Plus some other random stuff probably. Spinning got heaps better, 3x spinning clipper a few times.

New moves: Alpine Atomsmasher, pdx Tapping Drifter, finally :P cool move.

Wednesday 5th July
Length:
1 hour 30 minutes.

Sesh with Ian and Dyalan at the Monster skate park. Tis a cool skate park. Made some good attempts at tap > atomsmasher rpt but no cigar.

New moves: Predator ( ), pdx Barrage.

Friday 7th July
Length:
1 hour 30 minutes. (Total since 19/1/06: 110 hours 30 minutes)

Sesh with Dyalan and Dan. Ian was a n00b and slept in after too much boozy booze. Total lack of leg strength/mental creativity. So I mostly drilled. Again got really close to tap > atomsmasher rpt, it felt so easy and casual sometimes, even through the tiredness, so I can't believe I didn't get that last stall. Pretty much hate this combo for teasing me so much. Dyalan started to race me to hit it but neither of us got there. Oh well. Also got crispy torque > ripwalk rpt. Should do this more, it's way harder on my flipside than it should be.

All in all a pretty good week. Really happy with shuffle, I think my run length was better this week too. Also Dyalan and Ian gave me some help with proper form on spinning, thx guys. Whirls were also feeling way better this week. I can't wait till I can feel proud of them :P I'm really happy with my style/form at the moment, and glad that atomic is just getting easier and easier. It's not taking the energy it used to which is good, as it's an underused set. Now I've got a week to finish my short film for worlds... can I do it? Tune in next time, for Days of Jamieson's Life.

Monday July 10th
Length:
1 hour
Drilled: Illusions, stepping, atomic, BOPs, DLO

Felt a bit yerk and took me ages to get going. Hit some good stuff once I did though. Finally hit tap > atomsmasher rpt, should have hit this soooo long ago. Also 5 consec atomsmashers. Really happy with atomic, feeling so easy and casual now. When I hit tap > atomsmasher rpt it didn't feel like a stretch at all so I'm really happy with that.

Stepping a lot better too. Can't wait till I have this down. Flipside, mainly, strongside is pretty good already (always room for improvement of course ;))

Don't really feel like stoping but have stuff to do. Might shred again tonight. I don't know if I will be able to finish my shortfilm this week, which would totally totally suck. *sigh*

Thursday
Length:
2 hours

Session with Dan and Janis. Started off well but I got worse and worse, oh well. got tap > atomsmasher rpt again which was good.

Came super close to atomic eggbeater, sweet sweet move! Hot some omelette's and tapping illusions. I like tapping illusions :D they feel sweet.

new: merlin. Ilike this too. Tried voodoo a couple of times but was tired by that stage and couldn't be arsed.

Friday
Length:
1 hour
Drilled: Illusions, pickup, stepping, atomic, DLO.
Shredded at fed square on my own while I waited for dad to pick me up. Reeeally good session.

Improved stepping a bit which is good. Came close to mini rubberman with blizzard instead of blur, want to work towards rubberman with illusions instead of mirages. Dan tells me I should make legbeater reactor to make it truly reverse (and then hits it) I'll get to that later I think...

Hit rubberman again though, into a run. Also tap > atomsmasher rpt into a string with blurry whirl, tombstone, and footed the other side, almost bsos'd! damn that would've felt good.

DLO's slowly improving... they were taking too much energy out of me though.

Drilled illusions > pickup rpt for the first time in aaages and I kicked arse, as opposed to last time I tried when I sucked :P

Thx hagesy. Yeah that would be rad :) I guess dan is still studying words, although I haven't noticed it particularly lately.

Saturday July 22nd
Length:
1 hour 30 mins
Drilled: Illusions, DLO, stepping, atomic, tiltless, osis.

Illusions were good, worked a bit more on smoothing out blizzard.

Got real close to rubberman with sidewalks thrown in, footed last trick :(

DLO is tiresome :(

Atomics were good.

Finally drilled tiltless again :P got 53, I... think that's a pb? not sure, close anyway. And I'm happy with it. Next session: 60

Double over down > Double pickup. cool link ja?

another cool link from the other day was toe drifter > pdx DLO, I like it.

Monday 24th July
Length:
1 hour (Total since 19/1/06: 119 hours)

Drilled stepping and atomic. Atomic seemed to take it out of me too much tonight, and stepping was just annoying.

My flipside stepping sucks so much :( Got stepping clipper > sidewalk > ripwalk rpt a couple of times though, so seeing improvement.

I think I figured out a better way to do clippers but it's hard to tell. Solo playing sucks sometimes.

Started tiltless but got lazy :P Next time hehe.

Was having real trouble with mini rubberman with blizzard instead of blur. Flipside blizzard sucks major. Then I started it on ripwalk instead of blizzard and got it first try hahaha. Score. Seriously though, something has to change with my flipside stepping.

I read an old post by Yacine today with stepping advice, I think it may help a lot, and it sounds like my new way of doing them could be good. but we shall see.

I need to spend less time on modified and more time doing more productive things... like shredding.
