Service Offered: Bag Repair

I'm fond of repairing bags, and I think I'm pretty good at it too. So I figured I'd offer to do it in exchange for some money. I think it'll generally cost about $5 not including the shipping (which is pretty cheap), depending on the amount damage. Holes patched, "blown" stitches/broken knots re-stitched, etc. PM me for more info if interested.

Emily, here's a pic of my Matt Cross bag. Is it repairable or is that hole too big?

It could be patched up with bag glue or SteriStrips, but because the hole is so big I'd rather replace the whole panel. Also, it looks like there are small holes around the big one because you tried to stitch it up. I don't recomend that as a solution for holes in bags.

Ben, I'd agree with Moxie in that you should try to patch holes when they're tiny. If you wait til they get that big, may as well replace the whole pent. Moxie's new service would be invaluable to anyone in this predicament that doesn't stitch. Replacing pents or fixing a busted stitch can help a lot.

Btw, I found this stuff recently that seems to work well for patches. So far it behaves very similarly to steristrips, but a little easier to work with. Just thought I'd post it while I'm in here. I'll probably give it it's own thread title if it proves to be a viable alternative.
