How embedded is footbag in you ?

I was just thinking about this as I was wondering around the house this morning, how embedded is footbag in me ? When I stop playing at 30 or 25 or now...what will I remember when i'm 70 years old about this crazy sport that I've spent countless hours to master ? Trick names, movements, tournaments, bags, history, my footbag idols, memories in general, etc. ? When I hear a certain word later down the road, will I get that sudden urge to try that trick or atleast think about footbag when I hear... around the world/ flexible ankles, golden child, rod laver, the # 32, symposium, dexterous, fearless, etc. etc.

Just a thought, think back outloud.

Why don't you just become an old man who plays footbag? Thats what im going for.

I don't know, I could see my legs giving me problems in 10 years or so, we'll see. I guess I'd just have to master my technique and tone down the difficulty.

i dont know, footbag is pretty harsh on my body, i might not want to move so much when im older....

but yeah, im not seeing any plans of quitting in the next 5 years or so. i cant see anything that far in the future, but id be 25, and i think i could handle it.

(plus id be amazing)

Havent you wusses seen the old asian martial arts lady on tv? Shes like an 90 year old kick your ass master, if she can lay the smack down you ladies can play footbag.

I've asked myself this question and its pretty weird. I have no clue when ill stop, but i dont want to have serious problems too young.....

I have No Doubt i wont forget all the trick names, players etc though. They are fully embedded!

yeah 4 square, or net. you just gotta take better care of your body when your older, compliment footbag with something like tai chi, yoga and nutrition.... i started play again, BECAUSE i started feel old (at 22)

I've quit in the past for numerous reasons. But I always pick the bag up again.

I think that's an indicator that it is embedded in my completely.

my goal is to get so good, i'll make videos of myself... then in twenty years and i have kids, i'll show them how kickass i was when i was younger and they'd be like, omg DADDY ur the greatest, and i'll be like all, yaaaaaa!

I want to get good. Really good. I have trouble with inspiration to play sometimes, but I want to make a name for myself in the footbag world. I want to strive and exceed a level of play that is beyond my current playing style. I try my best to be healthy and fit for footbag. Going to a footbag tourney seems like the huge milestone to get me extremely active and learn from some of the best. Meeting local footbaggers and playing for hours is nice, but there is a sense of complete culmination that I feel when I see people beyond my reach. I love the feeling of meeting these old friends, and that far network we have.

When I reach to a solid guiltless level, I want to travel and play footbag with these friends. That much I want to make a goal for the sake of footbag in the years to come. When my body can't sustain the pressure of freestyle, I always have stitching to back me up.

That is, if I don't incur wrist problems.

Footbag is embedded in me.

With how much random footbag info my brain has absorbed in just the three years i've been playing, the time I've put into playing, the time I've spent on modified, the friends i've made, the experiences I've gathered, I don't think I'll be able to forget much about footbag as an old man. Not to mention that my mind wanders to footbag related things each day. But i'll probably be laying it down in 4square @ that age. "you young hooligans and your kicky sack. "
