3/4 of this whole page is birthday threads, can we please get them all deleted or put them somewhere else so we can see the normal 'kicking circle' threads ? I usually don't create a thread against another thread or something petty like that, but this is really bothering me. Go buy someone a cake, some candles, and be on with it.

Your whiny footbagger,

Blame Family Matters. They're all years old; he's the one who went and revived them all.

I'm in total agreeance with you Hood.
Especially considering (at least one) threads are not accurate in their pronounciation of a specific users birth date.
It's total spam, and pointless.
Comment in the BCS blog if you feel the need to.

Stevie, this isn't about you, this is about the retarded fad of starting birthday threads.

They aren't even funny!

When will people learn that it isn't witty to rip off someone elses joke?

Well why don't we make a "Happy Birthday" thread, and whenever it's someone's birthday, we post it on there and celebrate!? Yay!

Then we will only see one of these threads. A lot...

Kicking circle=spam forum

errr, I mean,

Birthday threads are cool, I thought it was nice when it was my birthday. It was pretty lame for winsblow to go post in EVERY ONE that was ever made and make it look all shizzy. If someone can't tell someone happy birthday, why are there "moxie's body" "beards" "stephen barnes or stephan bender" threads?

It's ALL SPAM! :D

Just like estel used to say: "One man's spam is another man's ham."
and oh i do love ham.
but seriously, i have no problem with the happy birthday posts.
I just bumped a lot of them to the front to show how many there were.
because as you know everyone has to have a birthday, there are going to be a lot of threads on it. why not have just one "happy b day" thread and avoid all the clutter?
or not.
no big deal.
sincerly,

uncle winsblow. :!: :!: :!: :!: :!:

If any of you had birthday's in this month you wouldn't be complaining.

I guess they are annoying though.

My birthday is in December?

You seem like you had a problem with them.

Threads that were over a year old got bumped. Of course it will look like there are tons if you bump all of them. It doesn't make any sense to prove the point that a lot of then exist since normally no one has to see more than a few on each screen.

If there were several new ones every day I could see being annoyed and trying to suggest that everyone just use one Happy Birthday thread. Either way, the way you brought up your point was more aggravating than seeing three new (valid) "Happy Birthday" threads on any day. It wouldn't "clutter" the forum if they were left to slip down into oblivion like so many other threads. It seems like the way you were "spamming" the forum upset people a lot more than seeing random "Happy Birthday" threads ever have.

You don't have to read any of the threads, and they can make someone feel all nice and fuzzy inside for just one day. I don't think it's too much to ask for you to scroll down one more thread when reading the Kicking Circle, and as long as no one bumps ALL of them at once, it will only be only one or two extra clicks down.

It's funny that something as harmless as "Happy Birthday" threads will rile someone up so much; it seems like there are other ways to better spend your frustration.

Edit: It seems like the poll would have turned out differently if it had been asked a week ago. You know?

i don't mind the birthday threads. I thought it was a crazy coincedence when i saw there were 5 birthday threads all beside each other. So i thought it would be funny to bump as many old ones as i could. I got a laugh out of what happened in jesse's birthday thread so it was worth it for me. Also it's kinda funny how everyone flamed carl when he only bumped like 5 of them and i did the rest.

And i would have gotten away with it too if it weren't for you shreddaily!

EDIT: HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

They don't hate you, they just think you suck, at everything. Feary is a pimp, and I wouldn't compare yourself to a real person, that's unfair, as of right now, you don't really exist as a human being

Seriously, I dare you to post a picture or video of yourself. It would be Lee Hotti all over again. :D

I went ahead and gave all the old birthday topics a priority of -1 which means they're now the very last topics in the kicking circle and will remain that way even if people post in them - so they haven't been deleted, they're just out of the way a little. I hope nobody minds about this - it's very easy to bring them back if you do have a problem with it.

Interesting!

This doesn't so much upset me as I think it sets an interesting precedent. So if we complain enough about a topic (or group of topics) we can have them "swept aside"?
I thought those b-day threads were a pleasant reminder of how silly this forum is, a much better reminder than reading all the "whats happened to modified" and "your argueing is pointless" posts that come up every so often.
