Frustrated at practice, I can't fucking hit 2atw D: and my osis is weak. I can hit a lot of other 2 adds and some 3 adds but i cant do a bubba or a mirage. I practice for at least one to four hours a day. Today, i nearly got double atw though, just need to get under it after....

Im feeling smoother at practice, i actually hit an osis the other day. Ive done some bubbas and one or two mirages.. feeling a little more comfortable there, and getting close to 2atw. Ive gotten way better at ducking clippers, legover inside stall, and a few other things ive been working on. Its like i can feel myself getting better... i like that feeling, when im hitting tricks it feels like a straightforward victory.

congrats on the improvements on DATW. That's a really hard move and it's great to hear you're getting closer to hitting it
Further props on the ducking clippers. Clipper stalls are the hardest for me to hit so I know how difficult those can be to hit.

I figured out why I wasn't getting my 2atw, i was going to low and circling it at about half the heigth. Anyway, practice today was awful, ping pong fucked up my whole chi. I was doing good, beat the best kids in our school, and then the noobs showed up and all... beat me and shit. Then i went to practice footbag and was so frustrated i couldn't get into it like i normally do. Im feeling relaxed now so i think im ready for round 2.
I realized i really need to work on my left foot, i cant do atws, or clippers, and i think its about time i got ALL of the 2 adds nailed hard so i can make strings with them. I wanna drill over and over so i can dominate my footbag, thats right
Im good at a few 3 add tricks and one or two fours i can occasionaly pull, its time to stop dicking around and get SERYUS. Im basically motivating myself to go for hours at a time.

I can hit legover clippers, and a few osis, paying attention to the details made all the difference, popping it straight up spinning and catching in the same area. Mirage is almost pretty easy, fairy is getting smother, my flip side is getting a little less awkard so thats pretty sweet. I need to work on my whirls though, catching them isnt so easy. Working on a few other tricks aswell, still havent got 2atw. Im also working on strings just to keep the rhythm going. Im doing like, legover inside stall, tossed to clipper, tossed to toe, to legover op toe, to duck to toe, you know basics strings

Righteous, man. Work on the weird stuff. Don't listen to the haters out there, Pendulum is a fun trick. Great for introducing other people to footbag. Keep at it.smokefree wrote:As lame as it sounds i just figured out pendelum a few hours agoSole stall almost down, ass stall done did, uhmmmm..... i did a few ducking pixies. I keep missing gripping the bag behind my knee.

Today my mr sandbag came in... its cool and all... but its more rolly than other hacks im used to. I find i can do the tricks easier with the mr but stalling is a bit harder. When i got the envelope it had a huge stain that looked like it was once soaked wet all around the area where the bag was in, as if someone poured a large cup of coffee on it. i dont think it was damaged or anything, but is it supossed to roll that way or does it need simple break in process? Now, as for practice, my strings are getting sweet and long. I cant do a few simple tricks still though... bubba seems to be getting harder. whirls are getting easier (not the op dex whirl, the same foot dexes bag and catches in clipper) toe>samedex>same clipper, i can get there in time but not catch often.

Ok. Good practice session today. I hit several alternating clippers, a few experiments in sympozium again, i hit some swirls! my clippers were really good today, i even ducked a couple. I did pixie into same clipper. Im starting to work on Osis again, making progress on lots of moves today.. i had a lot of free time today so i went for it. Im working on ducking into a butterfly... i can almost do it.. once i can i will work on the phoenix.. If i can duck it and pixie it and i can butterfly off the duck why not go for it? My abshire just came it in.. its sweet.. its got a little eye design on it which at first i thought was the eye of horus but i think im wrong. I thought it was a mini because it was so small.

Ok, my flip side is becoming nice, clippers, atws, occasional mirages. Swirrrrrls oh yes sexy, im hitting them left and right sometimes (rev swirl seems just the same difficulty, just need to practice that a little harder). I still find it hard to catch things after ducking though, its equally as hard for me to duck something and catch it or pixie duck and catch it.. its the downtime im finding hard. Bubba, peh, i cant believe i was so worried over a simple trick, a little bit of watching others do this and I could incorpate their movements, I can only do this on basic tricks though. My ratio of drops is going down and strings are getting niceeeeeeeeeee. Now thats for all my confidence... im still FUCKED at whirls because I cant swing my leg over it and still catch it.
Anyway im starting to plan out strings for when im showing off footbag, just basically incorpating simple tricks first, then going harder so I dont drop.

BOO FUCKING YAAAAA. Finally, I hit double atw... and suprisingly, it wasn't as hard as I thought. Ive been having anxiety attacks and feeling shitty for a few days... I got up picked up a bag, and attempted a 2atw, and did it on the second try, I think im feeling a little better.
