i even cried a little after the game
;p;

The most I cared about a sports team was the 2002 Mariners.

YEAAAH!!!!

At the last 6 world cups, Brazil won 2 of them, lost against France 3
times, and once against Italy I think..

And surprisingly, it's the first time Zidane does an assist to Henry EVER..

Uhmm... he intentionally kicked the Portugal player in the nuts.
no he didnt, how could he? he looked at the ball, so were the hell would he know were the nuts of his opponent were? it was an accident, not more, sure, yellow would have been enough. but we cant change it now, and so i hope for england in the euros, hopefully with a fully fit roster.

tomorrow, italy vs germany. i live in a town with a high percentage of guys with italian roots. whoever wins this will make a huge party around here... and hopefully the loosers fans stay calm and enjoy the party... and hopefully the loosers will be italy and enjoy a few beers with us. and if they dive too much they can go too hell.... :twisted:

Italy!

I must say the games this weekend were boring... England - Portugal was simply upsetting, France - Brasil was so boring we stopped watching and went swimming... Italy - Ukraine I enjoyed greatly because I am a fan of the Italian team. Hopefully the German - Italy game tomorrow will be enjoyable, I will be happy with either team winning but I am definitely pulling for the Italians!

ya, rooney was going to get a yellow for what he did until he lost his temper and shoved another player while the ref was checking on the injured guy. That's why he got the red. it was absolutely deserved

actually, i know there are conflicting stories but i was watching sky sports and they said that FIFA said the red was for the kick to the groin not the push on ronaldo

Italy=fucking floppers

I've never seen so much acting/whining before. It was absurd how Italy got away with some dirty tackles from behind, and only a couple minutes afterwards Germany gets carded on the same thing.

A REALLY good game though. I really do not like Italy though, I think their players are pussies. Definately a game to remember.

Good job Germany!

It was a bunch of crying over nothing until near half-time, then it started getting more intense with less carding / fouls over minute things. Once players noticed they couldn't just dramatize things, that's when the real soccer started. Great game by Germany, I just wish they could have pushed through to shootout or atleast kept up with Italy's last brutal attacks.

Yeh, I think Italy's team is a group of cheating, unethical bastards, and definitely shouldn't have even made it to the semifinals, but they played a good game, despite their first half drama. Germany just didn't play like the new Germany, they had a lot of chances on goal, but they didn't knock anything in. Maybe it was because of Frings or what's-his-name being kicked out because of a redcard, maybe not. The fact is, Germany just didn't play like they usually do, even if Italy did fuck with their heads the first half.

what i thought was realy brutal was that they scored in the last minute. germany had a good chance after taht, but then we catched another goal and then i was out, i went on the street, screames abit, and went back inside and cried. italy is one of these teams that do more acting than palying. they fall down, look were the ball is and then start acting, i hate it... i wish more players were like roony... he goes forward, and if he gets tackeled he gets upa nd starts going for the ball again, but italian(also portugiese, and alsomost eery southside team) just keeps laying around and pretending he´s hurt and stuff, i saw many red cards for diving there, but the referee was kinda blind...also he should have had been more consequentwith his calls, he let italy more space for foul attaks...with the ref from portugal vs netherlands italy would have had 4 players ont he court after the halftime. now i hope germany gets 3rd place and france kicks portugals ass liek they kicked brazils and then get world champ, as a little present for zidane ;)

allez les bleu....vive la france... (sorry for my bad french, it was better a while ago and i could have written more then... :D )

correct
Germany just didn't play like the new Germany
well, actually they did, they had a super game, and they realy played (press called it taht way) hurra fussball, they went too the offense, stood good in the defense (philip lahm was great, he allway swas standing right too intercept the ball) but they just couldnt score, taht was bad!
Maybe it was because of Frings or what's-his-name being kicked out because of a redcard, maybe not.
he got disqualified because italian directors accussed him to hit a argentinian palyer after last games troubles. well, in my eyes he just defended himself, if a stupid goucho comes too you and wants too hit you straight in the face, what would you do? correct, kick his ass! but fifa thought different, and he was missing in that game, with him it would ahve been a different result! but anyway, its a team sport, so...

EDIT: in penalties we would have kicked theyre butts, and they knew it and so they were rushing for the goal, you could see it at there fast offense int he beginning of the overtime!

I thought it was a pretty good game, and am glad it was close until the end. My friend and I were watching it together and both we hoping it wouldn't go to PKs-- I hate when games end on those. I have no qualms-- it was a good, physical game and Germany lost on a well-placed goal for which no one was really at fault.

Besides, I didn't want the host nation to win the tournament, so if they had won this game (like I wanted), I woulda had to hope they'd lose in the final.

Oh my gosh, dunno why I'm this emotional. I feel bad for Germany. It's like your about to drive off in your newly bought corvet and somene snags the keys and drives away. I wouldn't be so mad if Italy scored 20 minutes earlier, but 90 seconds?

I think Germany saw it was over and stopped trying so hard (both teams were obviously tired too). I didn't see any off those defenders stick out a leg when that first goal was scored.

Well, looks like I'm in the minority but I was extremely happy that Italy won. I will agree, they act a bit too much but I love the players nonetheless, and you have to admit that Buffon is a great goalkeeper...

David, i am very happy that Italy won too.

I'd say if Italy didn't score Germany would have beaten them in the PK's just like some guy said above....

I agree that Italy flops too much, so in general I root against them.

That said, in the second half of yesterday's game, they were much more aggressive, had much better looks at scoring, and overall I would say they deserved the win more than the germans. I was rooting for Germany, but based on how each side played, I think italy deserved it.
