amount of sleep

Post by shred villain »

i have just stayed up all night on modified due to being diagnosed with "i can't sleep on some nights(and this night happened to be one) even though i try so hard, hugging my pillow tight and closing my eyes and by no means do i have a problem" disease. anyway it is 6:00a.m. and i am about to go out and play footbag and i was wondering, Does lack of sleep crucially affect your playing footbag? :?:

Everything affects your footbag game!

However for me sleep is much less a factor than mental state, diet and how much I've played in the last 48 hours.

If you feel tired and run down than your game will suffer. If you just can't sleep and footbag relieves stress, than there you go...Late night shred rulez!

In other words, Nate's saying that it really depends on the individual.

Some people really suffer under a lack of sleep. I, for example, hit a point where just speaking becomes mind-numbingly painful.

Although it may not seem like it, I think rest is pretty important.

I can't play footbag anywhere near top end when I get 4 hours of sleep or less.

If you play through the night, you won't seem to affect you as much. At least that's what I have learned.

I had 4 sessions in one night-morning.

I usually get about 8-10 hours of sleep, I got about 5-6 last night and had a great session today. I think it varies depending on the person and other factors as well.

That's awesome.

Oh, sleep does affect my game too. The more sleep I get, the more I can push myself once I get tired.

I'd say that good sleeping after a footbag session is arguably more important than good sleep before a footbag session, especially if the session is devotes to skooling certain new(ish) motions and improving muscle memory. the muscle memory development process is a night time process during sleep.
