hey tony,

go intermediate just to get the experience of competition. It will give you something to build on and you don't have to deal with the negative feeling of being destroyed by a bunch of people. Remember to you gotta crawl before you walk not even to mention running.

I enjoy the story from small town sask brings back memories of living in sask and going to the may day jams. Seriously you should audition for a bit part on corner gas. I believe that one of the characters talked about footbag on one of the episodes.

Mike,

The town where Corner Gas is taped is a long way from Maidstone, but one of the characters did talk about footbag in an episode. The day after a few of my teachers asked if I had watched Corner Gas the night before. It was funny.

Anyways, I haven't kicked in the last few days. I went to my girlfriend's Grad. It was a two day event. This also meant hanging out with her family quite a bit. It was pretty fun. I enjoyed getting to know them. We went to a really fancy dinner last night. Complete with like THREE forks. I hardly use one fork when I eat... Natel had to coach me through it.

Played for about 1 and a quarter hours tonight.

Went downtown and it was super hot again. That's ok. I can deal with. More sweat makes me feel like I'm working harder. Tonight I mostly worked on my Shred 30. But before that in my warm up I got
19 butterflys
9 osis
Then I got through the first 8 contacts of my Shred 30. I was able to do that much quite a few times. That section is easy. Overall I think the Shred 30 is too hard for me, but I have a few weeks. I wanna get it. A few of the links in it are really hard and I haven't hit them yet. I'll work on it.

Later I hit

 10 strong side spinning clippers

Dang, nice stuff! I can't do consecutive butterflys worth crap, but 19 is good.

Props on PS whirl, but be careful with it; this is again me just putting in my input, but whirling and symposium are the two concepts I think are worst for the knees. If your knees start hurting more in the future, be cognizant that PS whirls might be an influence.

(still... props)

Ya, when I first was learning PS Whirl I had some problems with it. It wasn't my knee, but more my upper leg. I dunno. But I took it easy for a while. I must've done the motion about 200 times in one afternoon. Not a good idea.

Thanks for the props. I fel like I'm improving quite well.

This marks the death of this blog. It's been a fun journey, but I'm moving on. Thank you to everyone who posted and read. DOn't worry, I'm not leaving, just going to better things.

The Solo Blog is up and running:

http://www.modified.in/footbag/viewtopi ... 196#253196

That's where you can find my session highlights from now one. I hope this idea of mine catches on and many people start to post in it, growing closer together as it happens.

I might still use this blog to post my pictures and personal stuff, but session highlights will be in the solo blog.

This marks the Re-birth of this blog.

After my absence it seems the solo-blog has died. Anyways, I played tonight. I"m not sure if it was a good idea after three long days of roofing, but my legs were feeling like they wanted to give it a go and I've been catching up on video's I missed. . .

Played for less than half hour. Checked to see if the rust had fallen off:

 pheonix bs
 PS Whirl
 some dimwalks
 spinning whirl
 some good flip whirls
 flip spinning clipper

I also took some looks at pixie symp whirl. It feels so weird but I think I'm gonna work on it for the online comps. I've got some serious work to do before the end of November. Over all it seems like I haven't lost too much ground with regards to where my level of play is. Stamina will be hurt quite a bit. Maybe that's why my sessions have been ultra short . . .

Just had a little session, pretty nice. Only half hour though...

Highs:
smear>butter>paradox mirage rpt
inside ss symp whirl
five infinities

That's all I can remember, but it felt nice.

Here's a list of goals I set out before summer:

1. Even out my flipside (hit all tricks I can hit on BOTH SIDES)
2. 25 titless contacts
3. Don't stop playing
4. Learn a new set (stepping maybe)

Notice how number three is in bold. That's because that is my biggest weakness in footbag. I always quit. I quit this summer.

How did I make out on the rest of them?
1. Nope. Not even close. I am working on it now though.
2. I didn't count much, but I'm almost positive that is another no-go.
3. nadda
4. I didn't learn stepping. But I did learn fairy to the point that I could duck it. I haven't tried to duck it since I started again. I have also only hit one fairy move since starting again. However, I have only had two sessions. I also remember messing around with atomic before my absence... I got a few that I could dex after the set, but didn't finish anything.

Overall, I failed miserably at my goals. Therefore, here is a list of my Winter Goals:

1. Even out my flipside (hit all tricks I can hit on BOTH SIDES)
2. 25 titless contacts
3. Don't stop playing
4. Learn a new set (stepping maybe)

Hey Tony,

I will work on stepping set with you, something like a challenge. If you want to go with it on November 1 I am down. Let me know, I am glad you are back at it. Let me know what you think. I want to start working paradox whirls but I will working stepping every other day if you are interested.

Hey TJ, I'm not sure I know what you mean? I just want to be able to consistently get 25 tiltless contacts in a row. What did you mean?

And Mike, I'd love that! I might work the paradox whirls with you a bit too. They need some work. Especailly my flipside. Glad you guys are still reading. :D

Guess I might as well post that I had another session tonight. Even smaller. quarter of an hour. I worked flip whirl and flip spinning a fair bit. Need to work those lots. Also tried pixie symp whirl a few times, but no luck yet. It feels weird. My fairy set seems to be pretty much where it is, that makes me happy. Six infinities. Blah.

I meant that you mispelled T I L T L E S S and wrote T I T L E S S. You left out one 'L' which makes it a lot more funny. Get it?

AFter my last shred I had supper and then drank a monster while watching Shred videos . . . that led to another session. One hour this time. That's pretty big! It felt really nice and like I was actually getting somewhere with my game. It was good.

highs

 butterflyx13
 butterflyx20 :!:
 smear>dimwalk>pdx mirage>smear>pixie handcatch. oops

Weekends suck for shredding. Had a fight with my girl tonight, but we are all good now.
