32 PANEL Sewing Question

Post by Jeeves »

I'm new here so sorry if this has been asked. I've been sewing for about a month (just 4 panels) and want to try a 32 out. My question is with this templet (http://www.footbag.org/footbags/patterns/img/soccer.gif) is am I supposed to cut out the pents and hexes with or without the little 'ridges' (the ones on the left side). Thanks for any help anyone can offer.

welcome to modified.

i dont cut the ridges out, or make marks where my stitches would go.

i make 32 panel sewing kits, and so does kingstonfootbag.com

they both run in the 13 dollar area

(plus you can copy the pattern)

edit:

also, you should try making your own patterns , with the pattern generator, at the top of the bags section (its stickied)

Thanks, brinard.

I already cut out a pattern that I'm gonna try out on an old pair of pants.

t-shirt is probably better than denim... but practice on whatev you want.

maybe get some facile from fields fabrics. com or ultrasuede.com

thats the only way to get good, is to practice, and use quality materials.

Well I tried my first 32 yesterday and I ended up with some extra pents that wouldn't fit anywhere. I think maybe I sewed something in the wrong order or something like that. Oh, well, I'm trying again today!
