I've had a couple of injuries that have prevented me from shredding but no, I didn't really stretch back then. After that, I've been stretching: no injuries.Tsiangkun wrote:I wonder what % of people on the injured players roster stretch regularly.
DONT STRETCH BEFORE FOOTBAGGING/WORKOUTS
dude, you should stretch a little, at least at the end, prevents too many acids from building up in your muscles, thats part of what makes one feel sore later on.Nagasake wrote:I'm going to give not stretching a try this week and see how I feel at the end. I'll report then. Your theory sounds like it holds water, but of course anything can sound like it holds water.
Plain, with everything.

Yeah, I can only do atomics because I do stretch. I gave them up 2 weeks after I first learned them because they hurt one of my ligaments so much. Since I started stretching that ligament before kicking, atomics have been fine.

Yeah, I don't know, but I've never streached very much within the 2.5 years I've played. I mean, the only thing I really do for streaching is stand on the outside of my shoes. But I've noticed that my FS isn't as flexible than my SS which makes it harder to do FS Clipper for me (although it isn't impossible). I'm actually thinking about doing stretches after shredding to like, wind down or something and then by the next time I shred I'll have the muscular control over the increased range of motion that I obtained with the stretching after the last shred. I don't know if that makes any sense, but I think it's a good theory and I'm willing to try it out.
Cole is not in his right mind, please leave a message and he will get back to you as soon as he feels like it. Thank you and have a nice day.
Read an article about stretching properly before doing sports.
1. Warm up well, about 10 minutes.
2. Stretch the main muscles you're going to use (i.e. legs and hips, if you play footbag), 10-15 seconds per stretch, repeat 1-3 times.
3. Play some footbag.
4. Stretch the main muscles again immediately after the session, 10-15 seconds per stretch, repeat 1-3 times.
5. After 30 minutes or so, stretch again. Longer stretches, from 30 second to even some minutes.
