Best bags of all time?

I did a quick search, and typed in things like "Best Bag", "Greatest Bag", and others and every time the search results showed roughly 700 results...So now I am curious, what does modified think the best bag of all time would be? I have only tried one 32, and own a few Mr.Sandbags, But I know many of you own 10+ bags, or have played with them.

Then the question comes to mind, best bag for what? There are a bunch of styles of play, so we might as well put this into a categorized view...

For example, Best Stalling bag, Best setting bag, Best net bag, Most Durable Bag, etc....

And if there is a big Sticky somewhere showing I missed something, if someone could please kindly point me in the direction of it to eliminate my ignorance that would be great!

uh there are a couple threads like this, there pretty pointless, all of the bags can be good to whatever player you are so its all in your style

Wow, honestly.

The best bags that I've played with have been Wilson 32s (not made anymore), Mirken's, Abshires, Lonn's, Carol's, and Mosher's. That's the limited experience I have with bags, but some of my favorites have been those...

wow, I can't believe someone mentioned mike wilson, I got some CRAPTACULAR bags from that guy... anyway, my favorites have been mirkens, lonns, iljas, and felixs. However, most of my choice bags lately have been testers that I've received, and I've really enjoyed my Jake Raye footbags, my Marco Hartig footbag, and I even have a Waylon Lew footbag right now that I think is going to be a pretty good bag, I can already do loads of tricks with it.

So, there's lots of good options. There are some great stitchers out there making some sweet bags who don't have big huge reputations right now. It's a good time to be a bag buyer.

yes, so many new stitchers are comming up now,i think its great. I love looking at new bags and buying them. I think a lot of them have great potential to be "the best" bags.

Yeah, I realized this is probably the first thread every person like myself (aka, noob to the forums) would ask, but when I searched I was amazed at not finding anything...

For the record, Mary has better bags than Jesus, AND brinard!...

So basically the only bags that would receive titles in and around "Best ever" are all hand stitched 32's? I will keep that in mind....

Back when I started playing footbag, Carol bags were the defacto STANDARD in footbag freestyle. If you freestyled that's what you played with. Then about a billion stitchers started making their appearance on the scene. I've played with so many (25+ diff. stitchers?) that it's hard to tell although Felix bags have to be mentionned somewhere in the best bags "of all time".

Best bag I have owned out of the 11 so far was made by Jake Raye. Flash red and cheetah print. Too bad its gonna die soon....

When I moved here and first talked with Matt Kain he asked if Wilson still makes bags because those were the best bags when he used to play. Maybe it's that preferences have changed that much, or maybe that was just a bad Wilson bag.

My favorite bags to play with have been from Felix and Jeremy Mirken.

Wilson bags were considered the best back in 2000, on the forum that gave BIRTH to modified. I only have two four-panel facile Wilsons, because I was a cheap 13-year old and I "couldn't afford" a 32 (I really wish now that I had sprang for one, however). A lot of people preferred Wilsons to Carols, but then again I probably don't know what I'm talking about.

This for some reason makes me remember reading the footbag.org FREESTYLE list... going through the pages, being subscribed to the emails, etc.

The two best bags out of my collection have been a Sorbi and a Felix

Oh and the best bags are sandbags from freedom footbags ... you can never go wrong with them.

Luis Monhollan's little brother Ted stitches an 8 panel sand bag. It stalls and sets very easily, but is not very durable. It's my favorite, but my only one broke a few weeks ago.

The one and only Allen Petersen
All of these stichers were here first making the bags that most people copy and don't really improve on. If you dig for this info, you can find it. Hope this helps, Richard

I just recently tried the first 32 panel bag Kyle Hewitt has made and it is now Vegas' favorite bag to shred with.
