This is what people think of a converse when they hear the name...correct?

OF COURSE thats a piece of crap. thos though, happen to not be the only moddle they make, which seems to be hard to get through some peoples THICK ass heads.

now tell me, how those look anything like mine, besides that star. Seriously, they only thing needed to be done is a lacing mod and its good to go, they are almost nothing like the oldies.

But those shoes are still crap.

The material is thick.

The ankle support is too much.

They are bulky

the toe is round

Lavers are a fad

they are not thick at all! and if you think they are heavy "like all coverse", as waylon says it then you are wrong wrong wrong wrong wrong. They are not bulky at all. The toe is rowund at first but once you open everything up witht the lacing mad, it is infact a flat wide toe.

do you people not get that i am just stating that these shoes are a descent shoe? and maybe if you cant get your hands on lavers or climas or whatever, that you should try these?

BenRea about lavers wrote:i have tried them like i said, its no good. its like a trend, its not always the coolest looking or best thing but people do it anyway because one guy said they were great. Why cant people give a different shoe a chance? just because it doesnt say rod laver on the back or because it says converse on it, doesnt mean its horrible or not as good.

when i gain the ability to do nemisis, im gunna com back and hit it with those shoes, ha. to bad im never going to be that good because i dont have lavers and you cant get anywhere in the life of footbag without them because then your just a failure with crap shoes.

and if you think this post is rediculous, well then maybe you should try to take my posts seriously before i take yours seriously.

I reckon, go get a camera and bust out some shred and post back here with the video. If you can play well in your shoes, thats good for you, if the converses work for you then use them. I'd still recommend lavers though to people starting out with footbag.

ps. would be cool to bust out nemisis  practice hard

then im with both of you here, i dont play in lavers, g-units, or climas, i'm a converse player...no matter how many people say they suck.

and janis, thanks for that response, you seem to be one of the only ones that understands. these conmverse work for me, so i play in 'em.

and i would bust out my vid camera except there is now way to transfer video to the comp with my camera.

seriously, before i know wuts footbag is.. i was doing toe stall for fun with converse.. and not the old kind one.. then someone 4 month ago explained me what was footbag and gave me lavers. For real, it really suck playing in converse with 32s.. you can still play with some sandbag but anyway.

If Ben wants to wear his converses to shred in, by all means just let him. Sure it breaks our conventions, but it's pretty obvious he really likes them. He thinks it works for him. When he becomes even more experienced, perhaps there will be the day that he feels restricted by his equipment and look into something else. I don't see these Converses as the new Laver alternative that everyone will swarm to, but it works for him.

This discussion is getting tedious and losing the point of the thread. People should start posting their shoes again. That's the intention of this thread. I guess I will start. These have been my shred shoes for the past 3 months.

I still wear my Lavers around as my casual walking shoe that I can play a bit of footbag in when I feel like it.

I've never played in 1's but 3's are definitely easier to mod. They have a higher stance than 1's so it's a little bit different for people who usually shred in 1's. It's a matter of preference and I like them.

The mods on those Clima 3's definitely look different compared to the 1's. I'm pretty impressed in seeing a modded version, actually. The only experience I've seen from modded Climacools are 1s and Responses.

How do 3's run in terms of sizing? The same as 1's?
