Last night I went to a party at my friend Ben's house in full shred gear. That's what a winner I am. Recently, 4-square has become the new party game in my circle of friends down here, which is pretty awesome. In any case, I was freestyling a little bit and hit tapping pickup both sides, not sure if I've hit that before but I was thinking about it yesterday so i did it. Unfortunately, soon after that I got too inebriated to play footbag... first time in a long time I've tried to play footbag after drinking; i hit a mirage! On the brighter side of things, the party was a lot of fun and I got to see two cute chicks make out for like 2 minutes in front of me. I've come to the conclusion that girl-on-girl action is biologically programmed into men to be hot, because I've yet to meet a single man who is not enthralled by the sight of two voluptuous females playing tongue tango.
Now I want to hit tapping pickup>tapping pickup>tapping legover>tapping legover and if i can get that far I'll try tap>atomsmasher>tap after. Hopefully I can get a session together today.

Wow. Been partying too much? If there is such a thing. Got about 5-6 hours of sleep last night then woke up for a session in venice with Chad and Dave. It was Fing awesome. LOTS of spectators, because they were having some sort of soccer tournament thing.. We got asked about 7-10 times if we played soccer and if we could shred with a soccer ball.. chad hit a legover with a soccer ball at one point for some kids. People clapped for my awesomeness, I hit a lot of really good runs, some good tiltless, some good guiltless, and one cool sick 3ish combo, legbeater>ripwalk>ps mirage.
tap>atomsmasher>droooop
really really really fun, felt very coordinated and smooth today. As much as I complain about not being happy with my game, I had a lot of fun today and I'm obviously improving.

Net session with Sam, Greg, Chad. no freestyle today since we played yesterday... I could have played today but it's getting late, I'm hungry, and I'm going to help my mom cook for my brother and his girlfriend who are visiting from San Diego. So, to sum up the net stuff, I suck. But I'm getting better. I had a couple of really sweet shots, and some long runs serving. I still wiff a lot, but I'm shuffling more and missing less thanks to some tips from the veterans. Fun stuff! Can't wait to get into the net scene in santa cruz.

I had a productive solo session today.
Sumo!
Ps illusion! I hit this at the end of the session, threw it out half joking with myself and came pretty close so i tried about 5 more times and hit it.
ps whirl
Terrage Bsos
plo bsos
tapdown bsos
p drifter bsos
ripwalk>spinning clipper bsos
11 contacts of ducking>diving clipper
Weaving clip>diving clip>ducking clip RPT
drifter>spinning clipper RPT
Some fun runs too, god damnit I love footbag. My back was feeling better before the session, I pushed myself pretty hard for an hour and a half and it's feeling sore now but I'm pretty sure it's improving. Now I have to eat before I flip out and injure someone.

Knee is uncomfortable/feels weird, hurts a little bit when i use that leg for support. in the tendonds on the back/right side, not the kneecap. I think I tweaked it doing ps whirl or nuclear set. nothing serious, I may not play until sunday.

Played net and a little bit of freestyle with chad sam and greg today. I still suck at net (big surprise,) but it's fun as hell and it feels really good scoring on people who I know are 10X better than me.
in the freestyle domain:
Symp whirl bsos! (first time flip!)
whirl>drifter>whirl>drifter and DLO BS in the same run
atomsmasher bsos
4 spinning clippers in a run - wayyy easier for me to hit now.
short but sweet. My knee feels alright during freestyle, just hurts whenever I put weight on it; should be better by the time the U.S. open rolls around

thanks dave.
good session today with brett.
pdx whirl BSOS
flip flail (first time)
Pdx flail BSOS (first time flip!
)
Pdx dada curve BSOS 2nd try. This moves feels ALMOST too easy to be a 5.
toe grifter! (first time) took me about 15-20 tries, came real close 3-4 times then hit it super clean after I calmed down, put my hands together in prayer fashion and channeled the grifting powers of jeremy mirken and nate linscott.
plo bsos
27 contact tiltless run
spinning clipper practice, a bit of ducking, a bit of atomic.

Played at the hermosa pier with dave brett and chad. Fun session, lots of...
"colorful" locals out, lots of sun, scantily clad women etc.
hit pdx dada curve bsos again, p torque, practiced parts of my semi-planned shred 30 and realized I'm going to have to do mostly tiltless if i plan on not dropping (and even then, I'll probably drop.)
Had some good runs though, one run with both ducking and spinning clippers, one with drifter>drifter, both DLO's and whirls.
I'm pretty sure I'm going to compete at the US open now.. If I don't win it will still be fun, so I might as well try. I feel like sick 3 is probably the event i'm least likely to win.. I'm not really sure what i want to do, but I want to figure it out fast and practice it so I can actually hit something I'm happy with this time around.
oh yeah, and drifterX9 again, and new infinity record (32.)

Just finished a footbag I made for Emily. Started it yesterday afternoon, finished it today. It's not perfect, I gathered too much on the last panel
But my stitching is getting better (I think,) and I'm gonna start another bag either tonight or tomorrow.

Thanks zero. I took a few pics but I don't have the right cable at my house to transfer them, so hopefully I'll post em tomorrow. Session tonight with Chad, Dave, and Brett in Hermosa. It was a lot of fun, I'm in a lot of pain right now though, my back is bumpin. It was fine while I was playing, but after I warmed down, ugh.
So, the shred 30 I planned, I'm never going to be able to hit dropless but I hit a few of the combos from it,
butterfly>whirl>butterfly>whirl>drifter>pdx mirage>ducking clipper>pdx mirage>ducking clipper>osis
and
dlo>ducking butterfly>pdx mirage>pixie clipper>drifter
other stuff:
ripwalk>ducking clipper>ripwalk>drop
simple swirl, I think clean and satisfying for the first time after I footed it twice.
run with blizzard, ripwalk, ducking butterfly
symp reverse whirl first try, went for bsos but no dice.
phoenix
My sick 1 stuff: pdx dada curve - feels clean and easy most of the time. pdx torque is inconsistent but clean when I hit it.
missed ps whirl, my timing is off, I think i jump too soon, or set too high.
Sick 3: Hit legbeater>ducking butterfly>ripwalk, tried multiple other combos before that one but missed them all. At the Santa Cruz comp I hit pdx drifter>pdx mirage>ducking butter so at the us open if I compete I want to at least hit a 4-4-4. Going to take my cat and dog down to the park then sleep.

Picture!

It's semi-shreddable already. On the 4th flower of my next bag.

bad pictures, the pents on my new bag are jade green.
