Chris Balch (Xain in modified) did a Brocka-type mod where he only took the cushion of the ankle support out and just glued the rest together. That way your shoes don't look like they've been butchered to get more ankle crank.

"Footbag can be pretty frustrating when it's supposed to be fun. I was partly driven by this forum - practice, practice, practice... As that is true, I think someone can be too focused on progressing and training that they miss the fun aspect of it." - Bander87

BOOYAH! My gf dragged me to the mall tonight so while she was shopping for some crap I checked out Finish Line (sporting goods store). I scoured the place looking for footbag-friendly shoes. Just when I thought I had searched the entire store I found Nike Free 5.0's in my size on clearance. Normally 85 USD, they were just 50 USD
Well I gotta tell you they are fucking GREAT for footbag. Light as a feather, almost like a sock, great clipper and toe surfaces and shreddable straight out of the box. No mods needed! Eat me Quantums (mucho $$ and not in my size). It's almost psychosomatic, I was hitting osii better than I ever have before. Sweet! I can't wait to shred some more in these bad boys.
Here they are in all their glory!

Good find Ben! Personally, i thought the arch from the shoe's sole and insole felt pretty big on me (which doesn't help for my shred and running, I think), but they really do work for freestyle. Nice toe, good inside (maybe some sandpaper for a flatter groove?) and you're good to go.
Elliott, mod the insides of your Lavers! It'll do you some good.
