Typically I don't count drills or consecutives as records for things like fearless etc. - but I don't think they have to be unique either - although I keep track of unique records as a seperate thing - like my tripless record 26 but my unique record is only 19 I think and I've hit 42 contacts of blur>dimwalk repeat but I don't count that as anything. Sorry for going off topic. It's great that there is a US open - props Red on organising this. I was a little dissapointed that you guys didn't try to hold worlds (07) too.

How much crash space is still available? And who should I talk to about staying somewhere. I dont know any of the people who are offering crash space, is it still ok if I crash there?

Noah Jay-Bonn has space. His email is [email protected], his number is 503-975-1985. He is expecting people to contact him (sorry, he doesn't check this forum much anymore).

Nick Landes can also put up a few. He is on this thread.

What I think the people really want to know is, "Is there any crash space?"
Maybe you could leave Noah's conatacts or something?...
Thanks in advance Red.

So how much crash space is there?

Sorry, I'm just annoyed that that question has been asked like 20 times by old and new players. (Excluding Nate, he was making the same joke I was). People, learn how to PM. Also, try and spend 10 bucks a night or so crashing with people that have a rented hotel room to alleviate some of the burden on those giving crash space.

I have a room booked, so I'm the person to PM if that's what you want to do.

On a side note, I'm soooooooo pumped!@!@!!!!@!! It's almost 2 weeks away!!!!

I'll admit..I didn't read through this thread. Why do that when you can hastily post? Anyways, my method worked great, seeing as I found a place to sleep.

Perhaps the clutter of unnecessary posts could be resolved by having the first post of this thread updated frequently, with a little more current information.

I only PM people I know for crash space. Since I don't know anyone in the area, I posted a general request for space and offered a couple of cases of beer for sleeping space, indoor or out. My method didn't work out that well, but whatever. I don't believe in bothering people I don't know, and then immediately asking them for favors.

I don't see the need to get all upset about people asking about the crash space.
This is a huge event, and people want in on it, be happy.

I have very limited space, and I don't know who hasd it yet. So far (out of 6 spaces in my room for people to sleep, possibly 7 if I move some crap out of my room) I have Sam (1) and the SC crew (Jeremy, Emily, Funk, and Davey) so that makes 5 out of 6. Sam amight be bringing some friends, which I'll make room for and do some shuffle to accomidate them, but those are the people that are staying with me. I still need confermation from Emily as to where the SC crew is staying, but I'm pretty sure that it's with me. So I have one space left only if sam isn't bringing his friends, but I must warn anyone who stays in my room... it;s gonna be cramped in there.

I wasn't getting upset, I'm mearly stating that if you're relying on people that have crash space to individually respond to each of the 'Is there crash space' posts, then you're gonna probably end up without crash space. Honestly, at most events I've been to, you can kinda find space when you get there. But I've never relied on that myself, and it's MORE of a burden to people when you show up asking for space at the last minute.

Again, mearly stating that if you need space, take the initiative instead of just posting in a thread and expecting people to respond. Red mentioned several people that have space, and already that's filling up. Maybe even PMing some of the other people who made that question and see if you all can split a room.

At this point I'm very confused. The situation with me and my friends is that they're staying with Red... They arbitrarily talked to Red and set this up which left me hanging. I'm responsible for getting my friends back to Seattle after the event, so I don't exactly want to be seperated from them excessively during the tournament. They're big boys and can handle themselves, but regardless I contacted Red asking for crash space at his place with them, but what?? Apparently you two haven't talked at all about this (honestly don't blame you, it couldn't be a smaller problem :P). I'll just sort this out with you guys when we meet up this weekend. We're still doing that, right?

Peace!

I am making this list now so I don't forget it while I'm there. I'm going to carry this list around in my pocket in Portland to make sure I cover it all. Here are the concepts I have been trying to teach myself and would love to get some help on from experienced shredders on:

 Atomic
 Whirl / Rev whirl
 DLOs / Eggbeaters
 Stepping
 Double downs
 Flails
 Drifters

Thanks.

Okay, so if sam isn't staying with me, then I still only have one space... The SC Crew said that they would be bringing EJ with them, so that's the other space. I think that, for the most part, my place is full. If Noah has any more space left, then that's the only place that I can think of besides a hotel room (PM chris, he should be having more fun anyway)

I just talked with Red and he said he had already reserved space for me, Jeremy, and Fletch.

So Nick: EJ (RunAmuk) and Davey M. can tell you if they're still planning on staying with you.

I know some people are complaining about this being confusing, but I really like having a good excuse to call a bunch of footbag players I don't get to talk to often.

Yes, we are going to do a Circle Shred Event. I think Eli has come up with a very cool format for head to head competition. Nick Landes is going to be heading up the running of that event, it will probably happen Sunday after the finals show downtown, back at the park before the awards ceremony.
