Those Da Da's are actually what gave Jorden the extra point then, eh?

Oh, and they were all really awesome. I don't think I saw any Honza footage this year, so that was great. His and J's were really high energy.

Congradulations to all the finalists and champions. Looks like a great event, some really good competition. Wish Jim could have been there, he would have certainly been a strong factor in the competition. Congrads to the new BAPer's as well, definitely deserving (I am a fan of Tina's shred, she's sick). Well done.

Although I have to say it's pretty woeful that he had dada curves in his shred 30 - Take an at least 1 add off for those and I think Honza is very unlucky not to have won. The IFC should do something about that

I guess it's a complicated issue though. Respect to all the players who compete in shred 30s around the world who don't put the easiest add hunting moves they can into their shred 30s.

didn't Honza beat vasek in shred 30 at Worlds 04 ?

Out of curiosity, Jeremy, can you cite someone else who threw dadas in their shred 30 recently?

It seems like no one can just be happy these days. If it's not the lack of creativity, it's add-hunting, and visa versa.

I think the fact Jorden threw dadas in his shred just shows that he knows what it takes to win and has the creativity and vast ability over all areas of the game to do it.

Dada curve is the perfect move for shred30 - low energy, low set and easy to add concepts onto - the fact that nobody else uses it is their loss.

We don't discourage the use of lavers in competition because they make it easier to do well, why discourage the use of moves that have a high add count for their difficulty because the make it easier to do well?

No. But I think he did at Euros 04.

I haven`t watched the shred 30s yet, but I will soon. As for DaDa Curve, as long as its not jay, I think its a legit 4. At least as legit as ducking butterfly, pdlo, pdx whirl, etc. If the dada is all ass-cheek dexes, then its crap.

Big props to Jorden, for the same reasons Jeremy stated.

I always thought 30 second shred should be changed to become the 30 contact shred. In it's current format the taller you are, the more you are penalised. Tall people like Chad have got no chance against smaller folk like Mulroney

I disagree. If you're going to think along those lines we should have different classed of routines based on height of players (bigger players generally have bigger windows right? I guess you could say that makes some tricks easier for them). The number of contacts in a shred 30 has much more to do with style and trick selection then it does the height of the player.

worlds were cool. didn't seem too big, as many players were missing, especially americans/old schoolers. there really were a lot of young players, though.
no epic hardcore circles around expect for the circle contest. and due to the sun there really wasn't that much shred going on.

worlds is over - but Berlin Footbag Summer just began!!!!
we just arrived in a bus with 41 people this evening. more people came by car or train, so there are now about 50 footbag players in town. it's going to be a huge week, starting tomorrow!

The two dada moves are blurry dada and pdx dada and in both instances the second dexing leg is pretty much pointing straight at the ground. Certainly not big high deep dexes. In fact the first time I watched the video I thought they were drifters and only realised they were dada curves when I got to the end of the video and hadn't seen any.

It's a shame that the first person other than Vasek to win a serious worlds event in Freestyle did it in such a controversial way.

There are no other players who hit da da moves in footbag because like the clothing - it's a bogan move and the general consensus is that it's too cheap. Especially when it's either jay, refracted or both.

Edit: I hardly think it's fair to criticise me for not making videos or not competing at tournaments. I've competed at every event in Australia since I started playing footbag apart from one where I organised the judging instead and if I had $3000 I would definitely compete at worlds - unfortuantly I don't live at home and most of my money goes to paying for my food and rent. I would make more videos if I had more time, but because I've never got good responces to my videos I spend my time doing other things.
