I stopped drinking pop 3 or 4 years ago. Tim W. started first and I just copied him. I became lazy over the last year or so and drink pop every once in a while. Every time I do the carbonation kills me though, I have to drink it really slow. I think I might stop entirely again, but with Tim himself pushing his own brand of delicious root beer it's going to be tough.

How can you say no to that face?

Haha... I just finished drinking a bottle of Virgil's. There is a store here that has it for $1 a bottle which isn't too bad.
Unfortunately, it is no Millstream.

I'm addicted to diet coke, and love the taste of it. I can't stand regular coke for 2 reasons. One, it's too sugary/syrupy and it makes my teeth and mouth feel all gross. Two, regular coke has like 7 tsp of sugar in a can. That much sugar makes me feel angry and jittery, not to mention can lead to diabetes.
The problem with diet coke is it's sweetened with Aspartame. Aspartame has been concluded to cause cancer in rats, but obviously that's all they give them, and their bodies are small, so it's easy to understand. The other ironic part of Aspartame is, because it cannot be digested by the human body, it's actually stored in your fat cells, making you fatter. The one with Splenda may be a good compromise for me. But it's made from sugar, so I wonder if it has the same bad effects that sugar has.
The FDA is LAME. Stevia, is an all-natural sugar substitute that's 300 times as sweet as sugar! Banned for commercial use here, it's actually used as a main substitute in Japan. Guess what's banned over there? Yep, Aspartame.

A few months back, I purchased some Yerba Mate tea over the 'net that contains Stevia, and I love it. Stevia is very sweet, and oh-so tasty; not to mention non-toxic, and low caloric.
The FDA is fucked up. They allow companies to use artificial sweeteners that our bodies can't even digest, but outlaw (the healthy and tasty) Stevia as if it were some illegal narcotic. wtf.
In short, Stevia pwnz artificial sweeteners.
The FDA didnt wanted the aspartame before 1981.. then Ronald Reagan got president and the labotary that created aspartame G.D. Searle had Donald Rumsfeld as president so the FDA looked from another eye this artificial sweetener.
Check this if you know french ;l
