So why are canned beers shit vs bottled?

i think thats because you are used to drink shitty beer (in bottle) and when it comes to REALLY taste the beer (in cans) you dont like it because its way diffrent .. try a bitburger in can and in a bottle .. the can one wont be that bad .. but in bottle, as soon as you open it, its very skunky ! juste because the beer saw the light.

anyway, dont drink lagers, drink ALES !!!

Bitburger? That's a german pilsner right? I remember trying it but it can't have been that great as I don't remember what it was like (although I did drink it from a bottle )

Why is that? What is the difference? In America the difference is the type of yeast used but the rest of the world doesn't really have distinct differences. For example a common beer in my city is Cascade Pale Ale which actually uses a bottom fermenting yeast which would mean in the US it would be classed as a Lagar.

Actually in my part of America it's called a common beer, and in other circles, a steam beer. It's a third style of beer, brewed at ale temperatures with lager yeast.
The style originated in the california area during the gold rush before they had ice and refridgeration. It's quite popular all along the west coast of the united states.

I guess if pressed to put it into one category or another, I would call it a lager, since it is made
with lager yeast. I wouldn't call it a lagered beer though. In addition to using a lager yeast,
true lager beers undergo a process called lagering, where the beer is fermented at cold temperatures for a few weeks before packaging.


The reason someone would say to drink ales instead of lagers :
Ales are more stable because they never need to be chilled in production,
packaging, transportation, or sale. It doesn't take much to ruin a perfectly good lager.

Cans are a superior shipping container for lager since they stack nicely

How much alcohol is in that Cascade P.A. ?

whether it's an ale or lager, shouldnt depend on comparison to the typica,l American piss-beer.

Off the top of my head I would guess 4.8? Maybe 5.0? - That's typical of Australia beers I guess although obviously there are exceptions.

5% in Canada = 4% in USA because they dont "count"

i say that (i prefer ales) beacause IMO most of lagers are tasteless or got is shitty taste .. i just tried a Wernesgruner (from Germany) last week end .. i didnt finish it, its was awfull. b4 that, i took a "Pilsner Urquell" (from Germany too) (both were canned) and it tasted like the canned Bitburger (Germany) and the Kronenbourg (France). most of lagers taste the same shiity thing .. or they totally dont taste anything .. like the budWATER or the Labatt Blue .. and most of Ales taste something, than they are even better when they dont filter it (yeast at the bottom of the bottle)
