Wow Dave props on those combos earlier, esp alpine whirlygig>montage!!
Im guessing you are one of only a handful of players to hit 7>7?
I guess Vasek, Felix, Honza and Jorden have... Anyone else really?

Hello girls, boys, and little boys.
Now you may be thinking, "wow, david doesn't type in his blog anymore". We'll buddy, consider yourself a mind reader cuz that's what I've been thinking too.
Although I would like to end this post right there, I think I'll give all my loyal readers (yes you mom and goldberg), a glimpse into the life. The life of Dr. D of course.
So things have been alright latley. I've been playing a lot of footbag, not terribly well, but not terribly bad. I need to take a day off but theres nothing to do around here so it's like, something to do. But I've also been yo-yoing a shitload too, which is good. I really enjoy it. It's a lot of fun and it's a challenge and it makes your sences stronger I think. Idk.
Speaking of yo-yo this weekend I am going to the PA State Yo-Yo Championships. I am going to be playing yo-yo and also doing a footbag routine. I have one that is alright. After my little show I am going to sell footbags to little kids hopefully and make a little bit of money. Because that's what I'm in footbag for. The little kids I mean.
So Alex came here this week and he busted and yada yada. It was fun, but I got really furstrated yesetrday and it was kind of weird. I felt like a little baby. Not the good kind of baby I might add.
I feel like once you get to a certain level footbag sucks. Because like, I've had all these sessions where I've hit really good stuff and then when I can't hit it's like wtf. So I get bummed, and that makes me play worse, and then I think about little vaska waking up and having whirlygig x 12 for breakfast and it just kinda gets me down you know? Like, I think I'd rather suck or whatever. Cuz you dont have that many moves then and you dont really care if like your mirage record is 5 and you can only hit 2. And you dont feel like you have pressure form others toi play well. Idk, I'm pretty stupid about this whole hacky thing you know. Maybe I took it to seriously. My mom sure thinks I do. That's kinda why I look yo-yo, becuase i really suck at it and its like, nice to suck I guess? Not saying I'm like the bomb at footbag but I'm not an intermediate anymore. Idk, like back in teh day I could watch videos and 90% of them I couldnt touch anything in. But these days I know if i tried really hard I could hit a lot of the combos I see I guess. And that kinda just makes you feel like, bored I guess? Idk, I know I suck at fairy and quantum and all that, but.... yea.
Anyway, sorry for complaining. So here's a story from today.
My friend clark calls me up and says that he is on vacation and he forgot that he has to mow some lawn and no one can help him so could I do him this huge favor and go do it. so I did. So i go over and I mow this thing and halfway through I hear this girly yell. And I turn and across the street there are these two girls(?) who are standing on this d3eck in their swimsuits. Me being the suave guy I am continued to look at these girls. But you have to know something:
DAVID CLAVENS IS NEAR SIGHTED. FOR THOSE WHO DON'T FOLLOW OPTOMETRY (I KNOW, I KNOW, FOR ALL 2 OF YOU), NEARSIGHTED MEANS YOU CANT SEE THINGS FAR AWAY. IN MODERN AMERICA, PEOPLE WHERE GLASSES TO CORRECT THIS SIMPLE PROBLEM! DAVID WEARS GLASSES WHEN HE DRIVES, READS THE BLACKBOARD, OR SPYS ON PEOPLE FROM UNDISCLOSED DISTANCES. TO DAVID, YOU LOOK LIKE A BIG MOUNTAIN OF MARSHMALLOWS FROM 50 FEET AWAY. INTERESTING!
So I'm look at these incomplete smores standing on their thing and suddenly the bathing suit is slightly removed, exposing how do i say.... chunkier marshmallows. This is followed by high pitched laughter, them turning around, and jumping back in the shadowy depths they emerged from (the pool). So anyway, you'd think the lawn mowing would be the last thing on my list. But I have a fond love for grass, and seeing as I am nearsighted a problem had arisen. Let's break it down.
1) Were the girls even girls? Or just feminine dudes.
2) Did my lack of vision make me think 7 year olds were my age?
3) Do 7 years olds flash neighborhood handymen?
4) Can I kick it?
5) Do I know these girls from school?
6) Do I really look that good?
7) If I wear a size 8.5 laver, how should I size quantums?
Is lance bass really gay? He was my fav!
9) Lawn or ladies?
After much deliberation I decided to, as the kids say, "f the police", and continued working. I mowed the rest of the lawn without hearing anything from my onlookers and considered it a job well done. a *knock knock* on the door brought me $30 dollars! SWEET! I proceeded to stick it dollar by dollar in my pants, yelling "It's my body I'll do what I want! It's over Lance, its over!".
Kidding.
So I put my pants back on and walked the mower home, but before I did the girls waved at me. But this was from like 20 feet, so I could see a few things:
1) They were girls.
2) They were kinda my age.
3) Size 8 quantums
4) Yes, Lance likes the dick.
So they waved at me, I waved at them, and I continued on. Couldn't give the ladies too much you know.
So that basically concludes my day. I came home and kicked a bit, but it was lighting so my mom told me to come inside. And then I ate, beat my dad in chess x2, and now I'm waiting for circle footage.
Peace kids.

Interesting and humorous as always. I can't really empathize with the being-too-good blues, but it was fascinating, gripping, intriguing, a proverbial smorgasbord of delectable thought. Ummm... yeah.

YO YO WHERE MY SHORTAYS ATTTTTTTTTT
Hi. I am really really bored at my house, and I still have 2 hours before I go to work. So here's another post for all your kids.
So I woke up at like 1:30 today, which is crazy. I was up till 3 a.m yoyoing. It's so much fun I wuv it. My friend gave me a YoYoJam Sirius, which is a really good yoyo, but the silicon mods fell out, so I'm back to my kickside. I hit cold fusion and all this other stuff.
I wen to the Pa Yo-Yo State Champinoinships on Saturday to demo footbag. I also enetered yoyo sport ladder and got last place! W00t!
My routine at the yoyo thing went over really well, and I sold like 8 bags. Made some moneyyyy.
So here's something I've been wanting to educate people on. A life lesson of sorts.
It all begins when I turned 18 last month. I was all stoked. And then I realized I could play the lottery. Let me tell you something baout the Pennsylvania lottery. This devil of an instituion puts out shit like the daily number and scratch off's, hoping that you (the consumer) will play in the hopes to hit it big. If your from Canada, you may not even know what the lottery is, so I will explain what I play: scratch offs.
Now when you think of high class gambling elite, you think of las vegas floors, with big money at stake. You think of the guys with their hoes and their champange laying it all on the line. Well let me tell you something about the true heros of gambling. The men and women who play 1, 2, 3, 5, 10, and 20 dollar scratch off tickets. These are the true crem de la creme of the gambling community. Day after day they put their money in these machines, and scratch and scratch, hoping to hit it big. But who could blame them when these scratch off's are just so enticing.
Perhaps the selling point of the scratch off's are their design, flavor, and outright coolness. Each card has a theme, take for instance the ever popular barn yard favorite "e-i-e-i-dough", a play on the popular children's song. Reminds the player of a childhood visit to the farm, except the only thing comming out of this cow's udders is cold hard cash. Now thats good for the bones. For the more risky player they have things such as "Pieces of 8", a pirate themed card promising heavy booty and major loot for all ye swashbucklers.
So anyway this whole conspiracy is headed by a monster who looks like this:

Oh, yes, charming perhaps. But this spokesperson (known as "gus") is really a cold hearted money grabbing undeground animal, whos slogan "keep scratchin'" keeps you comming back for more. Marketd as the 2nd most famous groundhog in pennsylvania, who can't help but love this fuzzy animal who has nothing better to do then to give away money? Oh gus.
So anyway my scratch off escapades started like, a week after I turned 18. I bought like 2 tickets and won on both of them. This started my... hobby. So anyway I put my winnings back in the machine and lost it all. So anyway I would play once in a while after work, and I'd always win like, a few bucks, but then I'd just lose it so I kinda would lose about $3 every day. Which wasn't bad cuz it's actually kinda fun. But anyway, I figured I could spare 10 dollars a week. Cuz I mean, you always have a shot at winning more. So anyway I said "David, when you reach 40 bucks in debt, you stop". So, I was on my last 2 dollars and I won 10. So now I'm down like 30 or something. But anyway....
The moral of the story is that scratch off tickets are stupid and you shouldn't play because you'll always lose. And groundhogs are stupid. Sure, the tickets look really cool and you might win a million bucks, but think about this:
A 1 dollar card says there are 6 top prizes of 6,666. That means to break even the lottery has to take in 6,666 x 4. Which means that many tickets are losers. Like seriously man, your screwed from the start. So... don't start.
But there are always those people that are sick at lottery. Like this guy from work won 1,000 on a 5 dollar card. That's sickness. But the odds are terrible. So idk. If you want to play a few scratch off's, go for it. As for me I think once I lose this 10 I'm done. But you always wonder if its the next one and stuff, so I'll probably just play anyway. But I'll never play $10 dollar cards or anything. Cuz that's just stupid.
So anyway, papa cleaver gave you that life lesson for today. If you have any great scratch off stories, feel free to tell them.
Off to work in a bit. Lates.

So I went to work today and found out I read the schedule wrong and I don't work till wednesday. :/
On the way out I see this guy in this car freaking out. Turns out he was locked inside with all the windows up and couldn't figure out how to unlock the door. He was like 70 so I guess he just like... idk, couldnt figure out the door. So I'm trying to tell him what to do and he cant hear me cuz of the windows being up and shit. So I run and get some paper and a pencil and I ended up writing down how to open the door and he eventually got out.

I can't remember who said that but it's true. From a probability perspective you're getting negative Expected Value (EV) which means it's essentially a losing wager every time, and the more you play the more likely you are to be in the red overall. If you want to gamble where skill can make a difference, learn poker. The only benefit for me turning 18 was being able to get into 18+ rock shows. The lottery is a tax on the stupid
Holy Damn! this is now my favorite blog, I have it bookmarked so that i can have instant access to it. Funniest shit ever
