1) We should still be on the lookout for lightning bolt. Friends first.

2) Who cares about where worlds is? Your not buying tickets tommorow, and I'm sure they'll announce it early enough for you to save your pennies.

3) Florida is hot in the summer. It was hot in December when I went with my school.

4) Some of those resorts are really nice. I stayed at the wilderness lodge when I was like 9 and they took my sister's beanie babies and put them all over the room with toilet paper. Like, they did something funny cuz... we payed like a lot of money.

5) Mickey!

I definitely want to see lighteningbolt. Shredita phenomenon is all I hear about from her and her blog.

World's 07 in Florida would be awesome. East Coast locale! And, I have a date with Mulan. :o

It should be in Kansas. So I don't have to move.

And we're in the middle of everything.

Yeah I was stoked on the idea of Portland - those guys seem to have good experience putting on big events but apparantly the didn't want to host worlds next year. I think had they put in a submission they would have definitely won.

I'd be SO down with going to Worlds if it were in somebody's house. That would be SIIICK!! You'd need a big backyard or a field nearby or something where everyone could pitch a tent though... that would be so killer 8)

Portland stepped aside because of the possible Disney deal. If it weren't for that, Portland would have put in a submission.

Having read through the discussion of this issue via the IFPA board of directors email list I don't think that is the position that was put foward. My impression was that they didn't think they would be prepared or able to prepare until after the US Open - which was in August while the cut off date for submissions was March 31 - although I'm sure that if they put in a late submission it will still be considered.
