Clip > Same Out set?
Excuse my ignorance but what is this set called? I can't seem to find it on the footbag.org set list.
No, I haven't hit it, but I was just wondering if you could do a "rewound drifter"
Anyone?

Quasi. You can check all of the set names in the topic 'Current Sets List' located in this forum section several topics below this one.millenniumtree wrote:Any idea what Clip > Same In is?
I personally think it should be stickied, but some new guy always comes in there and bumps it up with a new set they think they created anyway so it never drifts too far down.

Man, how many people have actually HIT Quasi though? It must be pretty tough. I'm sure it's like any other tough set. Quasi mirage and butter would be awesome. I guess quasi butter wouldn't be too crazy. I'm really intrigued by this set, as well as downtime ripwalk and things like that.

No, there's a plant with downtime ripwalk after the initial dex. With dada, there's no plant after the initial dex.Iron Clad Ben wrote:Isn't downtime ripwalk just Dada curve?shredzilla wrote:I'm really intrigued by this set, as well as downtime ripwalk and things like that.

I think Ales is one of the few ppl who has a big, pronounced Quasi set.
Also, Paratoxic is Quasi Symp Whirl, although im not sure how many ppl do Paratoxic with an uptime 'set' as such.

paratoxic is downtime.
I have never seen a quasi set - either in real life or on video - there is a video where Ales hits pdx blur but the bag is going down before he finshes the first dex - hence I don't call that a set. Some people claim that they know people who can hit the set but I would like to see it on video.

I agree with Jeremy. I asked the inventor of the set himself (S. Jani correct?) to show me some quasi sets, and it looked mid-to-down time at best. Def. not uptime. As Jeremy pointed out Ales' pdx blur is mid-downtime also. I've hit "quasi" butter and "quasi" legover, but yeah it felt very downtime despite the plant.
Also yes paratoxic is all downtime and there is no plant either.

Tom Kotsakos hits quasi sets AND hippy bubba sets.
Very well i might add
I think he was showing them at CSS too, so maybe people from out of the chicago area have seen them too

quasi = difficult
I've tried this multiple times and have almost got the dex mid time, but its not a set.
Red has hit reverse shooting (i.e. the nuke as a quasi after a step), and it's on the set list. I've never seen him hit it personaly, but I assume since he has ducked his shooting sets that he can do a good stepping quasi.

I've seen Tom Kotsakos do quasi sets that were upper-mid time, not quite going up after the dex, but completely before the decent. I know he's done pdx ripwalk and pdx blur, maybe others.

The 2nd dex is almost mid-time-ish
I agree with you. Stepping quasi is called sliding, I can't do it at all any more, but I used to be able to get the set sometimes. Here is a video of me trying Blurry blur but only getting the set:Cod wrote:Blurry Quasi is easier than Quasi in my opinion. I'd like to see both on video, though.
