hello.

back from worlds. i'm very tired since a night in the train is not very relaxing and 8 days in frankfurt were really tough as well. shredding and partying combined with a huge lack of sleep is a hard combination.

how competition went for me:
-fucked up shred30, but got 2nd since everybody but lise was even worse than i was. still my score is so low that i can't be proud of that 2nd place. git 30€ for that and invested it in a dorsch-bag (cod) and beer.
-played a pretty good semi-finals routine with four drops.
my final-routine had 3 drops. wasn't very hard, still the 2nd hardest in technical merit. got 4th. yeah. what the fuck? lise had 8 drops. however. i really like karolina and lise, so i feel really bad if i complain about the results. still, lots of people told me that i should have been 2nd. if not, at least 3rd. (also jan and steve, two of the judges, were very surprised that i got 4th)

the positive side though: i pretty much enjoyed playing on stage. the final night was so well organized and everything. the crowd was really nice!!

alex is in berlin right now and represented austria very well. his first routine was so good. 2 or 3 drops and just awesome. technically not so hard in my opinion, but very nice artistical side!
also, his shred30 was pretty good!

i was so close to hitting whirr, but still haven't hit it. as soon as my legs recover from tiredness, i'll hopefully hit it! got some good advice from ales.
stylie combo: pixie rake>motion.

shredder i was most impressed with:
sergey from russia

best moment at worlds:
watching and judging gosia's and witktor's final mixed doubles routine! first 2:15 or something were dropless! the crowd was going crazy and i got goose bumps! wow!!

i'm sad that everybody is in berlin right now and that i won't see everybody for such a long time!  don't even want to think about it...

thanks a lot to all the people who did such a great job in organizing worlds2006!

thanks a lot asmus! i really liked to hang out with you! hope to see you soon!

.
.
unfortunately i've got no motivation to play footbag at the moment.
since worlds i've only played once. that was yesterday for an hour.
i hate playing by myself and nobody in vienna wants to shred at the moment.
my footbag-motivation is so low that i rather go running or do other sports. :( :(

i just went running and loved it. felt good to run again. hadn't been running for at least three weeks.

other than that my life is really nice at the moment.
last thursday i went hiking and climbing (warscheneck 2388m) which was also very cool.

the best thing is that on thursday i'll leave vienna to go to india. we (boyfriend and i) won't be there until sunday though. (have to go to düsseldorf first, then to teheran and then delhi).

tomorrow i'll play footbag with alex though.
:D

Wait for your Dorshbag ;).

About results. I also think you should be at least 3rd. Lise had so many drops! That was unfair. What was the name of this crazy move you hit in your rutine? Franfurt Crank? Or something like that? :)

Hey Verena.

Im glad that we got to meet and talk, even if it wasnt a lot. That's too bad that you dont have any motivation to shred now, but I wouldn't worry about it. It will come back. I look foward to seeing you next year and shredding!!

Thanks for making my worlds better,

i think it's time to reanimate our blog.
i don't like that nowadays everybody just complains how dumb modified is, but still posts. that doesn't make anything better. i also took a little break from modified and footbag though.
lots of stuff have happened since my last post on the 1st of august.
i've been to india for a month and had an awesome time there. my whole trip was just so much adventure and exactly what i needed.
during 1 1/2 months i only played footbag once for half an hour.
i needed that break as well. when i came back from india, i kind of lost my motivation to play. it wasn't fun for me anymore, there were so many other things to do. besides that i was really fed up with vienna and its boredom. lots of my friends are spread all over the world now. they are travelling around and enjoying their time while i'm in vienna and always have to study.
i sucked really bad when i started to play again. at the beginning i really felt out of shape (due to the fever i got just before i left india i think), but with time i got a bit better again and started to like footbag again.
the thing that still really bothers me are my shins though. i've had shin-splints or whatever it is off and on for three years now. that really sucks. i play three times a week now and try to do more other sports. recently i've gone hiking a few times and went rock climbing once. this was amazing by the way.
i've also been to russia. this was an amzing experience. some of you may have seen the pics max posted. i had an insanely good time there. lol. everything was pretty crazy too. i hope that people start to play because max and i taught them.
alex from vienna is really good at footbag by the way. he hits crazy things now and improved a lot since worlds. seriously, he is very, very good now.

i still kind of suck. my toe game is probably at its best though. flip pixie is getting better. can hit flip smear>magellan>dimwalk now. smear>fear rpt bsos. really nice pixie set out of datw. nice fairy set out of atomsmasher.

i've gotta study now and then go and play footbag. alex convinced me. :)

thanks a lot for the comment, kevin. :)

not much to report, but felt like posting.

hit one combo that felt pretty good.
datw>pixie ss whirl
(then datw>pixie whirl and smear>datw rpt)

besides that i can't remember anything, but i'm definitely getting better now. :)

happy halloween.
i'm going to a halloween party tonight. i'm gonna dress up as tingle tangle bob a.ka. sideshow bob. it's a really easy costume since we've got the same hair style.

Hello modified!
Wow. My last post was before worlds 8O

Quite some stuff happened.
My g6 gotten stolen in Berlin. so I switched to quantums. Took some time to get used to but now they're working very good.
Stitched quite a lot in my not so much freetime. Bags are turning out quite good with the new planetfootbag filler.
Footbagwise I'm progressing slowly, but I focus more on having fun while playing, cause that's whats all about
Stopped smoking ~ 1 month ago with the help of the book "endlich nichtraucher" (thanks a lot ali :) )

On 9th december there are Austrian Champs in Vienna. I hope I can make a technical harder routine than at worlds, because I rewatched it and it was too damn easy, though it were just 2 drops :) Start practicing it next week hopefully.

Website is launched for the Austrian Footbag Champs which will be held at 8th-10th december in Vienna. More info here: http://www.footbag.at/afc06

Started to practice my routine for the Austrian champs yesterday. It will be the same as my worlds routine (click here to watch it), but it will be technical harder for sure. Since I stopped smoking I will have more power and stamina to survive those 2 minutes with some harder moves in it :). Maybe it will be worse since the finals are at 0:30 night :?

practiced a bit flipside blurry whirl and I'm glad that they do not hurt anymore. also hit blurrywhirl > dlo bsos yesterday. want to get blurriest > blurry whirl next time :)

Need to find some place to shred, cause 2 times/week is much too less :( Next wednesday there's no training again because of a stupid holiday which is just for schools I guess, because I have to work :(

Also I need to go to some fat drum and bass partys. There'll be roni size on 18.11. and aphrodite in January 8O Let's see if I can make it!

hello wiktor. :)

hello daryl. :) thanks for the thing you said about my pdx whirls. :) by the way: I'M GOING TO GERMAN CHAMPS!

unfortunately i'm only playing twice a week these days (university is taking all my time away)...

however, last week i hit a cool combo:
*smear>datw>smear>datw>pixie ss whirl
(flip motion, barfly>torque>pdx whirl, datw>pixie (no plant) clipper>reverse swirl)

today i hit:
*fear x16
*magellan x11
*smear x25

and probably WHIRR. i've been so close the last few times i played, but today i probably hit it. i'm not 100 % sure though. dom said it was clean (hit it 5 times for him). then i tried to show it to alex, but this time it sucked and the last dex was probably the.
