Hey guys,
this is some footage of a rino set, and a little shred. I am going to redo the rino sets so that i do the whirling dex after the contact, i have already done it a few times so i just have to get it on camera now (with some other components of course) .
Thanks Matt. Are we gonna play on riverside today?
Yesterday i worked on the set quite a bit and can now hit it cleanly so now i just have to get some video of it. I meant to post this topic in the video section but something went wrong. I'll see if i can move it.
Yeah, sorry man, but that's just a dragonfly and no matter how fast you hit it, it's gonna stay a dragonfly. Anything else you hit after that kick is a whole other trick set from a dragonfly.
DragonFly: Pass a leg over the footbag from in to out then jump and kick the footbag with the inside surface of the support leg. E.g., bring the left leg over the footbag from in to out. Now jump off the right leg and kick the footbag with the inside surface of the right foot and land on this leg
Dragon fly is Dex, then kick. The Rino Set is Supposed to be Kick, then dex. In the video it is sketchy, and Im not sure if he dex'd after the kick; however, in our last session it was hit undeniably clean: Kick, then dex.
Im with gangsta he knows, and i know, for all you who dont know, it's true, its undeniable, it is. I have contemlated this set alot and i now realize that maybe a flying clipper is not the best way to go about doing this though it is bad ass. Just setting from a stall followed by a flying whirl is probably the best way to go about doing this. I plan on experimenting with this some more tonight ill let you know how it goes. There is alot of potential with this set.
It's a flying whirling set. It's very cool, but its basic components make it a flying whirling set. If you want to call flying whirling set Rino, that's cool, but you will need the support of the community to make the name official. Again, very cool. Don't abandon this set for the sake of a name.
blurryben wrote:but for you skeptics out there i'm 100% positive this is a set and nobody could convince me otherwise. I have hit rino cleanly quite a few times now and i plan to keep working on it.
In your face webslinger, splint, ect... You guys must be noobs or something! Have you even heard of paradox?
Kamil: What I said was "The Rino Set is Supposed to be Kick, then dex."
Of course kicks count as contacts! Who says a set can't start with a kick?! This is Freestyle, baby! Not only are kick sets Heavily underused, but they are very stylish.
Yep, once you kick the next trick starts. With the Rino Set, the kick comes BEFORE the dex. Therefore, a 'Rino' trick would be something like Any Set > Flying Whirl Dex > Component.
Simple.
I'm not entirely convinced that there is any dex there at all. In every dex, there is sort of a notion of the "horizontal" part of the dex as well as a "vertical" part.
For example, consider toe barrage. There are two ways to the it. You could either completely miss "horizontally" in which case it would be like a leg-wiggling toe stall. Or, you could miss it vertically by having the bag be too low.
On those videos, it seems like the "dexing" leg just passes over top the bag. I would say the vertical part of the dex is not there.
I have been doing this set for a while, I'm sure there are plenty of others in the woodwork too. It's a neat set. I often do like a double dexing dragonfly which has the kick between the two dexes... so it's a dragonfly to a that set [blah]. So I'm afraid you can't claim this one - sorry bro.
assuming the kick is first and the whirling dex is second isn't it still just a blazing set? wouldn't it just be flying clipper> blazing set ? i mean if you did a flying clipper and hit a nuke set out of it, it would still just be flying clipper> sumo. once you make the contact with the flying clipper, that's the end and a new trick is started?
