Okay, to make it a little easier, here's a thread dedicated to people without crash space still. There is no more free crash space because there were only 3 people offering and there's like 70+ attendees.
That said, there is a Hotel, and a Hostile, where people will be staying as well. Here's the info:
The Host Hotel will be the Thriftlodge, located at
949 Burnside, Portland OR. 97214
www.thriftlodge.com (enter in portland or as the destination)
800-525-9055
503-234-8411
This is located about 15 blocks away from the site, and is a very easy walk to the site or across the bridge into downtown. Rates are in the range of 62.00-68.00$ per night, excluding tax.
There is also a great hostel also about 15 blocks from the site, the
Hawthorne Hostel
3031 SE Hawthorne Blvd. Portland, OR 97214
http://www.portlandhostel.org/
Best bet is to post in this thread if you still do not have a place to stay. Others will do the same. When enough people post in here, then make a list of people getting rooms together and Voila! You have crash space!
But yeah, all the free space is pretty much taken. The rooms are pretty cheap, like 78 bucks with tax for a room with 2 beds. If you split that 5 ways or something it's like 15 bucks per person per night. And then there's the hostel, which in my experience have always been pretty cheap, so you're probably lookin at 15-30 bucks per night to stay there.
Good Luck!

Thanks for compiling this, Chris.
I was checking out the hostel rates because I'm pretty broke (Yes, $45 for lodging may be out of my price range) and they have a private room rate for groups up to 4 for $46 (plus $3 per non Hostel International member). It says for "families up to 4" so I don't know if that means footbaggers....I can't imagine they'd have a problem with giving 4 bodies of any relation a private room together (Well, that's a lie. I can imagine that scenario, because businesses can be awful, but I don't think that's the case). Now, if this is a per group rate, that's pretty dirt cheap...though it may be just about the same as a hotel room split between 5 or 6 people.
Anyways..I'd be interested in throwing down for a hostel/hotel, if there is truly no more crash space...which it seems is the case, as there are a ton of people coming with only so many local people offering.

Okay...So, so far we have 2 groups. And undoubtedly there will be people there who need floor space, so those groups will get a bit bigger when we get to Portland.
So far, the suggested groups are:
Room 1- Me-Bed, Iron Clad Ben-Bed, Zac Jackson-Floor, Zeb Jackson-Floor
Room 2- Ben Skaggs-Bed, Evan Gatesman-Bed, Kyle Hewitt-Floor, Kyle's friend-Floor
The rooms are 76.50 per night (Two beds in each room) So, to split it up, I suggest that those who want to sleep in any of the four beds pay 25 per night, and the floor guys spend 13.25 per night. (This cost will obviously go down if more people show up wanting floor space)
I have a feeling that Ben and Evan will want beds, and Zac and crew won't mind the floor, though I could be wrong. Basically I'm going to reserve the two rooms, so PM me now if you want a bed or floor, and I'll edit this post to reflect the changes. Don't bother posting in this thread anymore guys, just pm me with any questions.

I say we take turns on the bed/floor and each pay 19 bucks a night. Kyle what do you think? Also, what days are you reserving these rooms? Because Evan and I will only need a room from Thursday night - Sunday night.

Im heading over on Friday morning with one of my friends from Coeur d'Alene, and were not too sure yet were we are going to stay. Anyone room left for sharing hotel rooms, or any locals willing to lend us some floorspace for a couple days?
Thanks again.
Thanks again.
