strangly uncommon moves

I realised the other day how amazingly uncommon dimwalk swirl is. I am sure that a huge amount of people have hit this move but I can't think of a single occasion where I've seen it hit in a run. Blurry whirling swirl seems to be more common than dimwalk swirl.

Why is this? Dimwalk is a common move, dimwalk swirl is not a cheap 5 add, but nor is it too hard. I don't think it's an ugly move. Yet nobody hits it? Why?

(I am sure some smart arse will point out a video where somebody hits it midstring - to that person I say "shoo")

I never see anyone do toe ss drifter. i see pixie ss drifter more than toe ss drifter

and ducking rakes

I would venture it has something to do with the stylistic trends in footbag (following what the upper echelon is hitting) and the fact that a lot of those moves are sort of awkward. Especially toe ss drifter.

One my fav moves that I hit at almost every session. I really like doing it out of gyro mirage and datw both in a muted style. I love hitting toe drifter and toe ss drifter bsos in strings.

edit: you do mean toe > (muted) same in > same clip right?

I used to do toe ss drifter a lot. Then I decided to be like everyone else.

Dimwalk swirl is ugly I think.

I bust SS toe drifter almost everyone run! I attempt alot of ducking rakes too... But yea, never seen a Dimwalk Swirl, and rarely ever see the ss drifter from anyone, and certainly not ducking rakes. Nobody seems to like bubba's or bubba sets either (except me)

People don't hit ducking rake cause diving rake is much phatter.

I hit ducking rakes a lot. They feel/look so cool.

What about stepping ss illusion. I don't think I've seen that on any video.

I agree, pickups are underused. I think that's because, for me, they are harder then mirage- expecially if you are planning on doing a set out of them. They don't get x-dex for some reason, even though they seem to have a fuller dex than mirage (but lets not get into that here).

Haha, I actually love pickups. I got into them when I was drilling them ss from clipper. They've actually become as easy/easier than mirages for me. Gyro Pickup is fun all pickup moves are cool cuz they're kinda easier than ss legover. Far pickup from clipper's a fun substitute for pdx mirage.

Now inside stalls, NO ONE uses. I have a couple of cool moves that I do like clip set>ss and far swirling inside. I want to start doing miraging inside swirls, I think they'd be a neat concept to have in your game.

For my sick 1 modified comp, I hit 'blurry' pickup. Pickups are sweeeet.

Everyone in Tulsa hits inside stalls in runs, whether theyre ducking insides b2b, or stylie combos like inside > near clipper.

I also never see wraps, reverse wraps, hopovers, pendulums, knee stuff, and heel tricks. I've only seen Dragon's from Schneider, and Nelson Monhollon...

I love bubbas and I do them a lot. I also do stepping ss illusion... I think there was some in my last vid actually... :p I anticipate bubba beaters will play a role in my game in the future

Yeah, pickups are awkward to set from.

My favourite 'inside' trick: Whirling Rev Swirl ending on inside delay. That shit is haawwt. Or inside set Rev Whirling Swirl.

I think i am one of the few people who loves using insides...i have vowed to myself that i will learn all my tiltless tricks using my insides and now i can, and they are so much more fun/challenging than using toes. I use inside stalls in my runs all the time and i love experimenting with them. I really think more people should start using inside stalls, because tricks like inside dso and inside eggbeater would look awesome midrun.

I also love doing wrap/reverse wraps/ inside rakes and crap like that. Im not sure why so many people neglect using their insides

I love doing wraps into runs. I think they're stylee!

How about hopover? I haven't really seen many people use it. This is another move that I like to do!

I do pixie duck, zulu, ect. occasionally. And I'm starting to use fairy duck occasionally.

I think assassin is a fairly common trick. At least I see it all the time.
