First Shred from Sauga
First Shred from Sauga
Well here is the first session from Mississauga on Tuesday. We didnt manage to get more than 10 minutes of full footage because we drifted away from the camera and cars kept on passing by.
Feel free to criticize constructively and excuse my bad editing skills, enjoy.

Cool man! My family actually has island property in Pointe Au Baril, about 20 miles from Missisagua. It's really pretty up there in the summer.
I loved the theme of the vid. Two guys, hackin it up and the music went well.
Big down side was the location of the camera. I really sucked at filming and editing for a while, and it takes a little while to get any good, but one key thing is getting that camera in close, and having the players in the middle of the shot. There's other tricks like location of the sun (light source) and stuff like that, but try gettin closer to the camera and you'll see a world of difference. Great shred, looking forward to the next one!

Thanks for the comments, Chris. I looked up Pointe au Baril on mapquest and it came up as some obscure train station a ways north of us.
I know what you mean about getting closer to the camera. I find it difficult getting up close to a camera that's on a tripod. It always ends up cutting something off first.
Anyway, I figure we'll make a couple more vids before summer is out, sooo, be ready for more, somewhere along the line.

Close, it's actually a boating station where people keep their boats for the winter, and then a full-service station for gas, supplies, etc., during the summer. But it's basically what leads you from the main road, through the station to pick up your boat, and then our island is about a 10 min boat ride from the mainland on the Georgian Bay.Skippy! wrote:Thanks for the comments, Chris. This website's not that great, but it tells a little about the land up there:
